Why is an article on American Jews illustrated with a photo of the grave of a Confederate soldier?
The title says it all: why pick a picture of a grave of a Confederate soldier? There are a huge num ber of other choices that do not tie Jews to slavery, even indirectly. How about a photo of the grave of a Jewish Union soldier. More Jews fought for the Union than the confederacy. Or, if you want 'balance,' put them together. Or show a photo of a grave from WWII, where far more Jews fought than during the civil war. This is a gratuitous slam of Jews, totally unrelated to the rest of the article. 2601:644:600:1360:94C3:3211:739E:4186 (talk) 20:27, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Does anyone understand this sentence?
"Siporin (1990) uses the family folklore of ethnic Jews to their collective history and its transformation into a historical art form." 46.142.33.187 (talk) 02:01, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
