Just two months into his second term as an arbitrator on the English Wikipedia, Coren resigned from the Committee with a blistering attack on his fellow arbitrators. At the heart of a strongly worded statement, posted both on his talk page and the arbitration notice board, was the claim that ArbCom has become politicised to the extent that "it can no longer do the job it was ostensibly elected for".

The RfA process is widely discussed here on the English Wikipedia and it has been well documented that less and less new Requests for adminship are being filed. There are an abundance of bytes devoted to the discussion and analysis of this situation and plenty of hands have been wrung over the matter. Various RfCs have attempted to find a way to fix the problem. Many proposals have been made offering solutions, some more potentially drastic than others, with the goal of making the changes necessary to kick–start RfA back into regular action. However, Wikipedia operates based on consensus and, to this point, there are have simply been too many disagreeing views for us to reach a consensus on how to increase RfA activity.

This website southmonitor.com took me to a lot of trouble. Since I had been notifed as a sock puppet I had gone through a detailed study of the said website for almost 3 hours. What I find out is that the said website is publishing artcles provided by Reuters, Indo-Asian News Service and Press Trust of India which are cerditable news agencies in India and mentioned as news agency in wikipedia. I was using that site because I am getting information from all these reputed news agencies at a single source and the website gives credit to the news provider agency as well. If we cross check we can see the same articles on almost all news portals. Actually I was planning to avoid this website from my future reference list. But the recent allegations aganist me is forcing me to get clarification on the issue.Benedictdilton (talk) 04:16, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

It's great that somebody of your quality is improving pre 1990 films on the other Indian film industries, old Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films really need an incredible amount of basic work!♦ Dr. ☠ Blofeld 13:13, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the compliment! Those are really interesting, however finding sources would be a major challenge. In the case of Kokila, a landmark film which would be known hardly by a few people, I thought of expanding the article after reading a snippet from Daily Thanthi, a Tamil daily. —Vensatry (Ping me) 16:05, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Main Page appearance
Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of the article List of international cricket centuries by Steve Waugh know that it will be appearing as the main page featured list on June 3, 2013. You can view the TFL blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured list/June 3, 2013. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured list directors The Rambling Man (talk · contribs), Dabomb87 (talk · contribs) or Giants2008 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured list. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad.
Thanks! Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 01:42, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

- Honestly speaking, I have not read the article at all, so don't know about its condition. The advantage is it is short. The actress being new, coverage will be easier to obtain. It should be a much easier target.--Dwaipayan (talk) 13:58, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Alongside the Signpost's interviews with the Wikimedia Foundation's (WMF) Board of Trustees candidates, the Signpost asked the candidates for the Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) and its Ombudsperson position a series of questions relating to the positions they may be taking on. For the FDC candidates, this will include specific recommendations to the WMF on how to disburse over US$11 million in donors' funds to affiliate organizations, something which appears to have garnered little attention from the editing community at large so far.
