Edit the sentence "Fluent in Arabic and Swahili, she served three tours in Iraq as a CIA analyst." to read: "Fluent in Arabic and Swahili, she worked alongside the military as a CIA analyst during three tours in Iraq."
Why: The original sentence could imply that she served in a military capacity, when she was actually a CIA analyst who worked closely with military personnel in the field. The phrase "serving tours" is commonly associated with active-duty military service so this clarifies that she worked with the military rather than was part of it avoiding stolen valor. ~2025-41113-21 (talk) 13:24, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Not done: The "served three tours" language is used by the Politico source cited in reference 11, and the sentence specifically mentions that she was working for the CIA so there should be no confusion. Day Creature (talk) 15:09, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Economic War Plan
Senator Slotkin's economic war plan unveiled at the Center for American Progress should be added to the U.S. Senate section under Tenure. It's a major initiative of hers as a Senator.
The speech has received lots of coverage in Michigan: https://bridgemi.com/michigan-government/slotkin-pitches-economic-war-plan-democrats-play-offense-against-trump/ https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2025/06/26/michigan-democrat-elissa-slotkin-outlines-economic-war-plan-to-expand-middle-class-donald-trump/84363278007/ https://www.mlive.com/politics/2025/09/michigan-sen-elissa-slotkin-says-us-needs-economic-war-plan-to-protect-middle-class.html https://www.michiganpublic.org/politics-government/2025-06-26/michigan-senator-elissa-slotkin-offers-what-she-calls-a-new-vision-for-democratic-party

Proposed addition: In June 2025, Senator Slotkin delivered a major speech at the Center for American Progress unveiling an "economic war plan" to combat what she described as America's number 1 national security threat: the decline of the middle class.
Citation: Any of the above work but I think Washington Post and the Guardian are the best. ~2025-43537-36 (talk) 16:29, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
Done with some changes to the proposed wording. Day Creature (talk) 17:28, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
Brookings and Council of Foreign Relations
Please add the following be added after the "economic war plan" sentence in the Senate tenure section of the article.
She followed the speech by speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations in September 2025 calling for a focus on middle class economics arguing that national security strategy must "First, protect U.S. citizens, the homeland, and our way of life. And second, advance American prosperity."

Please also add this before the next paragraph:
In October 2025, she spoke at the Brookings Institution’s 2025 Knight Forum on Geopolitics describing President Trump's actions as following an authoritarian's playbook.

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before creating an edit request. I do not think the article needs to list every single speech given by Slotkin, only the most noteworthy ones that have received extensive coverage (such as the "economic war plan" proposal I added earlier).
