Notice

The article Delacombe (surname) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unrequired dab page only one page exists as per WP:DAB

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to List of governors of Bahia: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. –HirowoWiki (📝) 23:55, 4 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Pee pee twp

Hello Duckmather,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pee pee twp for deletion, because it's a redirect that seems implausible or is an unlikely search term.

If you don't want Pee pee twp to be deleted, you can , but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Why did you inform me of something twice?

Your recent edits to my talk-page were duplicates and direct to the wrong day. I'm not very bothered, but thought you might want to look through your posting process, something seems to be wrong. CFCF (talk) 06:26, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@CFCF: It was autogenerated by Twinkle. I was RfD'ing two redirects (Template:Collapose bottom and Template:Collapose top) and it turned out you were the creator for both. If it's a Twinkle bug, you should bother the maintainers instead. (Plus I also wish that Twinkle supported batch-XfD'ing.) Duckmather (talk) 23:30, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The page (now deleted) is Elongated Musket Gun. Chuterix (talk) 20:11, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is not in any way to bootlick Elon Musk, but it's probably for the same reasons why Elongated Muskrat cannot be recreated as an article and Mango Mussolini was deleted. I don't think "Elongated Musket Gun" is a common derogatory name for Elon Musk anyway, at least not mentioned in formal contexts (unlike Orange man (see Orange man bad) and Sleepy Joe). please help with the Flynn's taxonomy page

the nonfree rationale has been ignored FOUR TIMES and the stupid bots keep destroying the image and it is getting very distressing. please help please don't revert anything which the bots keep damaging please respect that I have been tortured and have had strokes and other harm so you must must be very very careful https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flynn_1972_SIMD_Taxonomy.jpg Lkcl (talk) 10:37, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

this is getting dangerously distressing for me, I don't know how to stop the bots from damaging the page and the image. the work which was 1970 *is* US-Govtfunded. please can a proper investigation be carried out, if it cannot be sorted without causing significant distress I will have to stop contributing to this very important computing topic. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File%3AFlynn_1972_SIMD_Taxonomy.jpg&diff=1304162261&oldid=1304162224 Lkcl (talk) 10:42, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
after recovering from another medical incident I decided I have had enough of the bots and hand-drew replacements for the image. by necessity they have to be near-identical otherwise the topic is not understandable. which is stupid. but as these are like mathematical diagrams a topological recreation is ok as mathematics may not be copyrighted. Lkcl (talk) 13:41, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've tried commenting out the non-free template entirely, so only the {{PD-USGov}} template remains. Let me know if that doesn't work. Duckmather (talk) 16:12, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Lkcl: why did you revert my edit? Duckmather (talk) 16:29, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
because i was getting very distressed at the bots incessantly interfering, i was trying to get help to stop them destroying the image, but wanted to preserve the hard work on creating the nonfree fair-use exemption. i cannot cope with this so have redrawn the images by hand. I can't see any evidence that either of the people here is referred to simply as "intersex mayor." This thus seems like an unnecessary disambiguation page. Could you provide any such sources? JJPMaster (she/they) 02:04, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The story went like this: At first (on July 22nd), I heard of Tony Briffa (politician), who at the time I thought was the only intersex mayor in the world. (This was remarked on in the news, so I thought that "intersex mayor" was a perfectly reasonable search term.) Later on I realized she wasn't, so the redirect had to go, and I eventually decided on dabbing it. I get your point that either of the people aren't simply referred to as "intersex mayor", so it's not strictly a dab page per se, and this is why I tagged it with {{dab cleanup}}. Maybe one solution could be to move it to some title like List of intersex mayors or List of LGBT mayors, but I'm not sure whether that would meet WP:NLIST. Either way, you're probably a lot more knowledgeable about the WP:GENSEX topic area than I am. Duckmather (talk) 04:30, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Intersex mayor for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Intersex mayor is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Intersex mayor until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

JJPMaster (she/they) 13:19, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on USZ (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is:

  • a disambiguation page with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" which lists only one extant Wikipedia page (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • a disambiguation page that lists zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" whose target is neither a disambiguation page nor page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:36, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your "Madagascar" article edit

@Duckmather, I undid your revision of the "Madagascar" article because I had earlier placed a Guild of Copy Editors in Use notification at the top of it, as GOCE editors do when we're engaged in a requested copy edit of articles. The notification should help prevent exactly what happened in your case: that another editor comes along and makes an edit. It's really disruptive for us as we work on these requests.

Please wait till you no longer see the notification any more, then go ahead with any edits you'd like to make, including the one I undid. Augnablik (talk) 09:54, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
