Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Maquis de l'Ain et du Haut-Jura when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:47, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing that out! I'll review those parameters as soon as possible and start using the "Show preview" button, which I wasn't until now, since I didn't know that was advised. Luizadnts (talk) 15:29, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like your use of {{sfn}} here is not as you'd expect. Please investigate and correct the referencing issue. I know that this template can not go inside a ref tag, nor does it take an id= parameter. You will likely need to switch to using {{efn}} instead. - UtherSRG (talk) 00:27, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing that out! I'll review that as soon as possible and will be more careful with this in the future. Luizadnts (talk) 15:34, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi Luizadnts. Thank you for your work on Carnot family. Another editor, Scope creep, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Hi I reviewed your excellent wee article. It still needs a wee bit of work. The last image and could probably be moved up somehow to give the reference the correct spacing. Also the Detailed Genealogy section doesn't seem to be completed. There is a mistake in the template which is stopping it displaying. Could you fix that or perhaps remove it to talk until it can be fixed?

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Scope creep}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

scope_creepTalk 08:03, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Scope creep: Thank you for your review! I've moved the last image. As for the Detailed Genealogy section, I've tried to fix it but wasn't able to, so I just removed it for now, since I didn't find it terribly important to this article. Luizadnts (talk) 22:58, 15 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I am set to approve the above article. I've made quite a few changes, some to the wording and language templates, but mainly to add another source (Pacini). Under English wiki we can't rely on primary or tertiary sources, which just left one secondary source (Sahlins). This was frustrating since I could see the subject is notable, but as gatekeeper it needs multiple secondary sources. Fortunately I found a nice book review by a respected academic, which gave a second source - so making it "multiple" as per GNG. It had a disambig link to a wine brand, so I'm just waiting for that to be removed, that may take another day or so. ChrysGalley (talk) 21:02, 27 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for your help with the source! I'll look for more sources as well. Luizadnts (talk) 15:37, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I saw another reviewer comment that the article could benefit from sources, but between you and me, this is worlds better than >95% of the drafts I've reviewed in the past month. We're not looking for a featured article right out of the gate, though adding more sources certainly wouldn't hurt. pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 03:06, 6 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for saying that! I'll look for more sources anyway and will add them as soon as possible. Luizadnts (talk) 15:41, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Alfred Siegfried (December 6)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Thilio was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your recent edit to this article introduced multiple Harv/Sfn cite errors, 16 Harv warnings & 22 Harv/Sfn errors. This is probably because "Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at fr:Crise du 16 mai 1877" and you seem to have brought over the Sfn cites without their corresponding full citation reference, such as cite web, cite book etc. Therefore, the article is in Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. In order to make it easy to spot these errors, you maybe should consider installing User:Trappist the monk/HarvErrors.js on your common.js page. For installation & instructions go to User:Trappist the monk/HarvErrors. I have fixed some of the issues, but since you are familiar with both the English Wikipedia and the French Wikipedia articles, it would probably be easier for you to do many of the fixes. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 02:45, 14 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help with that! I'll fix the errors as soon as possible. Also thanks a lot for the tip about installing HarvErrors.js, I didn't know that tool! Luizadnts (talk) 15:47, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Luizadnts, I've regrettably felt the need to revert your translation of Siege of Hamburg. In making the translation you have lost the page number information on almost all of the very many references in the article. This makes it impossible for readers to verify the content, so in my opinion it fails WP:V. You should be able to fix this by undoing my revert and adding page numbers to each book citation, either by using the {{rp}} template or shortened footnotes from the {{harv}}/{{sfn}} family of templates.

While this is the first of your translations that I've seen the need to revert, I've noticed issues with a number of other articles that you've worked on:

None of these issues in isolation are terribly problematic, but because of the quantity of work that you do they leave a lot of cleanup to be done by other editors, which could be relatively easily avoided when you make the translations in the first place. In addition you have not replied to a number of messages left on your talk page, which makes it difficult to be confident that you are listening to feedback. Nobody's editing here is expected to be perfect, but it is expected that editors communicate and work with others to improve the encyclopedia.

The translation work that you are doing is very valuable to Wikipedia, and I would very much like to see it continue. It would be a pity to lose any more of it to these rather minor issues. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 13:48, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for telling me that! I'll review those issues in the Siege of Hamburg page and also in my other contributions. I haven't been checking my messages as I should, that's why I wasn't aware of these mistakes. Also, thanks for being gentle and didactical! I'm doing my best to learn; there are a lot of Wikipedia guidelines I wasn't aware of and I'm pretty new to editing Wikipedia. I'll keep your comment in mind to do better from now on. Luizadnts (talk) 16:07, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Best wishes for your editing going forward. If you find problems with {{sfn}} references that you can't fix feel free to drop me a note. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 08:23, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot for the offer, I'll definitely take you up on it if needed! Luizadnts (talk) 09:31, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Luizadnts, please comment at the noticeboard section: link. It looks to me as if you are simply using a translation tool or script from Intertranswiki/OKA, but people have pointed out to you that your edits are causing errors in the infobox (because there are different parameters on different Wikipedias), and you are expected to respond to people raising problems with you. You are not completely blocked; you can still edit here and at the noticeboard, for example; but you have been blocked from editing articles until you respond and we can sort this out. Thank you so much for talking to me about that. I've read all comments in the noticeboard and commented there as well, and I took some time to read my Talk page and reply to everything I've neglected. I'm unable to fix my mistakes in articles while I'm blocked, but I'm eager to fix everything as soon as I can. I wasn't aware of the importance of replying to messages and comments, so I've neglected to check mine. I want to make sure everyone knows I'm willing to learn from my mistakes, which were honest. I'll do my best to read more about Wikipedia guidelines and review my contributions more carefully from now on. Also, the work we do at OKA has the same goal as Wikipedia itself, which is making knowledge more widely available for everyone. Request reason:

My previous unblocking request was declined due to it not addressing my editing mistakes. Hi, nice work on the translation. Just a quick recommendation/request - if at all possible, when citing PDFs (especially ones that both aren't OCR'd and aren't in English), it'd be nice if you could use a template like {{rp}} (reference page) to provide page numbers. I can read a little bit of Italian, which helped me skim for the facts, but I think it'll improve the odds of a fast review in the future.
I'd also like to recommend nominating this article at WP:DYK. I think a hook related to the bronze sword from the history section would do pretty well, and you could potentially nominate one of the lake images too. ScalarFactor (talk) 00:37, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Lakes of Revine Lago, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. This page is FULL of errors in the Infobox. Please return and fix them ASAP. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:37, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Zackmann08, this article was translated from itwiki and I accepted it at AfC. I'm not entirely familiar with the specifics of {{infobox body of water}} myself so I've removed the parameters that weren't obviously equivalent on the itwiki article. ScalarFactor (talk) 00:45, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@ScalarFactor: that is all well and good. However a preview of the page reviews no less than a dozen errors that a basic use of WP:PREVIEW would have reviewed. I don't put that on you as you just accepted the article... But the creator should know to use preview. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:47, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for calling my attention to this and to @ScalarFactor for helping! I will have those errors reviewed by Monday and will update as soon as I fix them. Luizadnts (talk) 00:50, 8 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for translating in english my article about foreign relations of Iraq. You are doing my work proud and I appreciate that. If I may make a suggestion, I wrote a similarly comprehensive article about Sudan.

Looking forward to exchanging ideas.

The comment the reviewer left was:
You’ve made a great start in the article. It’s always frustrating when doing articles on geographic objects, but notability still needs to be satisfied, and as yet it lacks sufficient sources which prove notability. It requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. We need something which talks more directly and at length about the lake - whether that is more description about the size / location etc, or whether that’s about the construction history of the dams it feeds, either would be fine, but the articles you have so far aren’t quite passing mentions at best. I would love to see this article approved, so hopefully you can track down those sources soon, and we can take another look. Good luck and keep up the hard work 👍 .
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Notability requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. French social and public housing

You created the social housing in France article. Did you just translate that, or do you know the difference between Public housing in France and Social housing in France? I cant really make heads or tails of the difference. I can read French, but its a bit dense for me. I tried searching on Google the French names without much luck. ← Metallurgist (talk) 01:33, 3 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
