As of a 13 July 2025 revision, this article contains 148 instances of the United States being written as 'US', as well as 132 counts of 'U.S.'. Which should we be using? There is a manual of style in Wikipedia about this, see MOS:US, stating to use "US" by default. Unfortunately, most editors don't seem to observe this, or where ignorant of it (including me before checking it out). AsianStuff03 (talk) 07:09, 13 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Remsense. It appears that you mistook my edit for a case of WP:NotNews. I assure you that Reuters was mentioned only for the sake of proper attribution giving in to the pre-existing format of the subsection on China. What was additionally mentioned was proper remarks made by economic experts who do not remark on such situation every day. Also, by the same logic, it'd not make sense to just mention a single case of quarterly growth because that also appears like news due to how time bound such a report is. The edit simply expanded upon a pre-existing section which you quickly dismissed as some random news based addition.
