Name

Should this be named Presidents of Romania, and the template Presidents of Romania?

Numbering

Hello!

The current list uses an US style numbering system where non-consecutive terms are numbered separately. However nobody in Romania would count like that. Ion Iliescu (#2 on the list) had his second term after the therm of Emil Constantinescu (#3). Traian Băsescu had a term after that but he wouldn't be referred to as the "fifth president".

This numbering system is also inconsistent with articles of other institutions like [List of heads of government of Romania] or [Parliament of Romania].

My edit fixing this was reverted so I would like to appeal to the community for clearing this out.

@Alexandrujuncu Correct, after the Revolution there were 5 presidents. With Ceaușescu included there were 6. Examples: [1], [2]. Romania does not count people twice. Alin2808 (talk) 23:15, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
