Wilberforce

How come Wilbeforce had the longest tenure at 13 years, but not Peter III at 17 years? Dege31 (talk) 22:21, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Larry as official Chief Mouser

Since the British Government said Larry is first official recognised Chief Mouser, shouldn't the table be separated as other cats are unofficially recognised. Fab1442006 (talk) 14:06, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

number clarification

On the articles for the cats that have served as the Chief Mouser, should there be a number clarifying the number order they are?

(hard to explain so i will give an example: Donald Trump, 45th and 47th President of the United States. so for example a cat named jim is the 10th Chief mouser instead of ambiguously just being Chief Mouser with no clarity of what the order is.) Long old time

Larry appears to have been in office for longer than most cats live. Is he really a) still alive, and b) if so, still in office?

Perhaps government records concerning this matter are somewhat out of date? Were it so, there would be little surprise. Harfarhs (talk) 17:45, 20 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he is still alive. Here is is captured by Getty Images two weeks ago. It is unusual for cats to live this long but hardly unheard of. I have a cat who turns 20 next month! — Kawnhr (talk) 18:39, 20 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
