Fair use disputed for Image:Mi7.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mi7.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:26, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Mi7-Art.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 09:47, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Protel for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Protel is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tawfik Ouldammar

Hello Wjiri,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Tawfik Ouldammar for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can , but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. The Cosmos Master (talk) 19:22, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tawfik Ouldammar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not yet notable according to Wikipedia:MUSICBIO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello,
I respectfully object to the proposed deletion of the Mahi Networks article.
While the company is no longer active, Mahi Networks played a notable role in the early 2000s telecom infrastructure boom and was part of a significant acquisition by Meriton Networks, which itself was later acquired by Xtera. The company’s technology contributed to the evolution of multi-service switching platforms, and several reliable sources cover its development, funding, and acquisition—demonstrating notability under WP:CORP.
I will be working to improve the article by:
• Adding secondary sources from industry publications and news outlets (e.g., Light Reading, Telephony Online, and Network World)
• Clarifying the company’s historical significance in optical and packet-switched networking
• Citing reliable coverage of the Meriton and Xtera acquisition trail, providing context to Mahi’s legacy
The article is a useful resource for those researching the history of telecom equipment innovation in the early 21st century. I kindly request that the deletion proposal be reconsidered and the article be given a chance for proper improvement. Wjiri (talk) 01:12, 30 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The comment the reviewer left was:
I think the topic may meet notability. Can you please fix the following? (1) Please add inline citations to all content, including in the Architecture and Contributors sections. Ideally all unreferenced sentences would have citations (2) Please remove the red links to iSLIP and VOQ. (3) Can you add some citations outside of academia and rewrite the article to provide context to a general audience? (4) As part of the previous point, please add additional wikilinked sentences, esp. in the lead to provide context.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
