Copy edit request for Draft:Tomodachiga Yatteru Cafe

Hello, I would very appreciate it if someone could copyedit an article about a special cafe called Draft:Tomodachiga Yatteru Cafe, where actors serve as waitstaff. Thank you very much.--狄の用務員 (talk) 11:14, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done cleaning up templates and rearrange stuffs. I don't usually edit and never written a business article before so I don't know how to properly write one but I suggest clean up (i.e removing the Japanese parts) and submit the draft and maybe move it to the mainspace as I think it is passes WP:NBUSINESS Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) Thanks for the copy edit. I think the reordering of the clauses made it easier to read and of higher quality than my original article in Japanese wikipedia. I will submit it. Thank you very much. 狄の用務員 (talk) 07:40, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ninja

The Ninja article needs some changes, but it is locked so I can't edit it. Can someone look at it thanks? Besides the improper reference to ninjitsu, it also uses sources that were pointed out as outdated in 2023. Thanks. DrGlef (talk) 12:34, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Tokugawa Iemitsu

I'd like if somebody could contribute to this discussion of Tokugawa Iemitsu regarding claims of his pederasty. Truthnope (talk) 23:05, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nantoyōsō Collection?

In my drive to improve categorization of East Asian art articles, I've come across a Japanese collection known as the Nantoyōsō Collection (for instance in the image captions of the articles Chinese Piling paintings, He Chaozong, and Kakure Kirishitan). I cannot for the life of me find anything about this Nantoyōsō in any language, not to mention that I am drawing a blank as to what kanji could the romanization "Nantoyōsō" stand in for. Seeing the uploader of these images stopped editing 15 years ago, I'd really appreciate if anyone can figure out just what this collection is. Thanks! _dk (talk) 10:56, 19 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Uchima Kingdom?

I came across this map being used on Wikipedia which has Okinawa and the surrounding islands labelled as the "Uchima Kingdom", a term I have never encountered. The one who made the map is long gone. Googling "Uchima Kingdom" the first result is a Youtube video of a guy looking at this map saying he's never heard of the Uchima Kingdom. The only legitimate source I've seen mention it is from The Cambridge World History which has a map including the Uchima Kingdom in 1000 CE. I can't find anything about this "Uchima Kingdom" though, and all I can see relating Okinawa to Uchima is that Shō En, one of the kings of the Ryukyu Kingdom was also called Uchima Kanemaru (内間金丸). Also, our disambiguation page for Uchima lists

Has anyone else ever heard of this term used for the Ryukyu Kingdom? Photos of Japan (talk) 05:39, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would normally assume this was a simple typo for Uchina, but that wouldn't make the map more historically accurate. A 1200AD date indicates this would be the Gusuku Period, in which there was any known unified kingdom across the area. It could also possibly be labeled the Shinzatomura Period, but that doesn't really help for a label on a map. Dekimasuよ! 06:09, 22 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. I didn't realize Uchinā was the Okinawan word for Okinawa. That makes The Cambridge World History even more of a puzzle. At 500 CE they label them as the "Ryukyuans", then at 1000 CE "Uchima Kingdom" and then no label at 1500 CE. This was published in 2015, so it's not some sort of quirk of historical literature.
