- Comment ippon seoi nage is a highly notable technique--one of the most fundamental and common throws of Judo. A Google books search on "Ippon seoi nage" returns 75 hits., and Google scholar returns 81 hits. I think it and morote seoi nage are best handled together at the seoi nage page, which is where morote seoi nage now redirects, but this is a major technique of an Olympic sport--deleting it would be like not having an article on Fastball. - Strong keep One of the best known judo throws. When I took judo years ago in college (brown belt), this was an important throw. Easily satisfies notability via multiple books with significant coverage, as shown by Google book search [1] Please do a minimal amount of research before making such a disruptive AFD nomination. See [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8], [9], [10], [11], [12], [13], [14], and[15] , all reliable and independent sources with significant and substantial coverage of this one arm shoulder throw, a required technique in the study of judo. When you say "I do not feel that specific moves within a martial arts discipline, unless of particular note, deserve their own page," how is that different from "WP:IDONTLIKEIT" with respect to the sport of judo? - Comment: The assertion of non-notability is contrary to evidence. There are far more obscure techniques such as Ao muke gata ude hishigi, Ude hishigi kata osae tai gatame. Redirecting to seoi nage would be acceptable to me. As for deleting individual martial art moves, it would imply deleting every article under Category:Martial art techniques.
