Desulfuromonas is a Gram negative bacterial genus from the family of Desulfuromonadaceae.^[1][2][3] Desulfuromonas can reduce elemental sulfur to H₂S.^[4] Desulfuromonas occur in anoxic sediments and saline lakes.^[5]
