Bowie is an unincorporated community in Delta County, in the U.S. state of Colorado.[3]
History
The Bowie, Colorado, post office operated from February 5, 1907, until July 14, 1967.[4] The community was named after Alexander Bowie, the proprietor of a local mine.[5]
Geography
Bowie is located at coordinates 38°55′17″N 107°32′24″W / 38.9214°N 107.5401°W at an elevation of 5,965 feet (1,818 m).[2]
