Talk:B. R. Ambedkar

Inaccuracies of the article

This is baffling to me how many stuff written in the article especially Ambedkar’s remarks on the constitution is misconstrued and taken out of context further more, regarding his lobbying to become Law Minister is also not accurate and has been widely accepted that it was Mahatma Gandhi who recommended him to Nehru. The so called reliable sources are books like "Worshipping False Gods" which is polarizing and written to defame him with some people viewing it as one-sided.

However, the references I've cited are not just mere news articles, I've also cited archived speeches, letters and books to support my claim. So in my opinion at least the things I've mentioned must change as I've been told it's not healthy to revert edits so please look into this matter and make necessary changes. Thank you

Another Grammatical Error

Under the section 'India's Constitution', the following long line has an incorrect use of the article "an", which should be "a":

"Steven Calabresi has voiced agreement with Martha C. Nussbaum's assessment of the Indian constitution as "Ambedkar's constitution," on account of the Supreme Court of India having evolved away from judicial restraint and legal positivism favored and successfully executed into the Constitution in 1950 by Jawaharlal Nehru and leaders of India's anti-colonial nationalist movement who held sway in the Constituent Assembly of India to an purposive approach by which the court rules today, whereby it is the final arbiter of the Constitution's meaning and its interpretations are binding on the executive and legislative branches of the government." (emphasis mine)

Recommended change: "...to a purposive approach by which..."

(After Satara) CHANGE Shortly after making their move TO Shortly after moving to their new home. END (Mother death) IGPSS101 (talk) 13:43, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: "Shortly after making their move" does not appear in the article. "Shortly after their move" does, but there's nothing wrong with the wording there. Day Creature (talk) 17:34, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Add the Wikipedia reference to the film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Babasaheb_Ambedkar_(film) to the first pointer where it states the name of the film as 'Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar'. Sumant Dange (talk) 15:50, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
