Section "Port Arthur historic site" - "lack of wasps"
In the sentence beginning, "He attempted to start conversations with people about the lack of wasps in the area...", the word "lack" should be replaced with a different word, e.g., "paucity" or "absence." The word "lack" implies that something is desirable. 2A02:8070:A480:4920:9C27:8D4D:A5D:D1CD (talk) 17:58, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
Section "Mental illness and copycat effects": "Discussion" does not "occur"
The first sentence of section "Mental illness and copycat effects" is, "Much discussion has occurred as to Bryant's mental health." But a discussion does not "occur." Rather, it is "conducted" or "carried out." Please change! 2A02:8070:A480:4920:9C27:8D4D:A5D:D1CD (talk) 18:08, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
I was doing my degree in Adelaide during this time. I remember before finding out what actually happened, during investigations, Muslims were targeted and Islamophobia was rampant and supported at the government level in Australia. John Howard had just became the PM and Islamophobia was a popular thing to do. It was a convenient excuse by the government at that time to put the blame towards Muslim community until they found out that the killer was not a Muslim. 110.159.182.229 (talk) 07:48, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
Information sealed for a very long time?
I watched a YouTube video claiming "all key evidence sealed until 2071" so I thought I'd do some research.
The only webpages I can find that mention specific durations are:
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/subject_formal_request_for_the_p
says: "I understand that these documents were initially sealed for 30 years and that this period has been extended by a further 75 years"
https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/subject_formal_request_for_publi
says: "The initial decision to seal these documents for 30 years, and the subsequent extension to an unprecedented 105 years in total"
I think that's a very notable thing that should be included. Legowolf3d (talk) 22:09, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
