A tag has been placed on Category:Burmese MLBB clans requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Hteiktinhein, this is one of at least three nominations that are approaching two months old, the point at which nominations run out of time at DYK. I notice that you've posted that you're on vacation; unfortunately, if you wish to pursue these any further, you need to deal with the issues right away, before they are closed as unsuccessful. Best of luck! BlueMoonset (talk) 20:11, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Thae Su Nyein

Hello Hteiktinhein,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Thae Su Nyein for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Thae Su Nyein to be deleted, you can , but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

@Jlwoodwa Wrong sent ? Hteiktinhein (talk) 07:26, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, the Page Triage tool sends that message to the creator of the redirect. You moved the article to draftspace, so you made the initial revision of the redirect that is left behind – i.e., you technically created it. jlwoodwa (talk) 07:32, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
why? @Hteiktinhein SoeThiha5 (talk) 05:45, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Again, this article was created by User:Yuzy Okkotsu1, a sock master. I’m the one who moved it to Draft space and took action to have it deleted multiple times.
It's similar to when I moved your Lu Hpring article to Draft space—Page Triage automatically sends a message to the creator of the redirect, not the original creator. This was already explained above by User:Jlwoodwa, and I hope you understand English well enough to follow the explanation. Hteiktinhein (talk) 06:04, 25 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Article review

Hello Hteiktinhein, good day brother. thank you for the look and acceptance of my Wikipedia articles, I'm also moving forward to asking you to review my pending articles of Draft:Kyaw Myo Min, Draft:Khaing Thu Kha and Draft:Marriza (singer), it has not been reviewed actively mostly for 3 weeks. Therefore, I would like to take the opportunity to present this article to you and for you to review it.. Thank you! KhantWiki (talk) 11:54, 26 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@KhantWiki I accepted two of your articles, however I'm still not sure about Kyaw Myo Min, so left for other editor for further review. Thanks for creating current trend subjects on Wikipedia. Keep up your nice work. Hteiktinhein (talk) 12:28, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for accepting the two articles, I appreciate it for the support ako Hteiktinhein, we can leave the Kyaw Myo Min article to others editors for a formal and well-reviewed experience. It's really nice working together with you and all the Myanmar WikiProject members, to improve topics, create articles and events, making friends, cooperate and discuss about Myanmar and its colorful and vibrant culture, it's a really refreshing, knowledgeable and enlightening experience. I hope we can all enjoy the journey of making the English Burmese Wikipedia a better place for all. Yours sincerely, KhantWiki (talk) 12:44, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@KhantWiki By the way, I suggest that you create articles for 'Western Regional Military Command [my]' and 'Northeastern Regional Military Command [my]' on English Wikipedia. These articles are really needed on Wikipedia. If you're interested, please consider doing so. Thanks! Hteiktinhein (talk) 12:48, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@KhantWiki Please note that the formal review process may take three months or more. Be patient if you submit draft articles. Let me give you some advice: as an experienced editor, you can create articles directly without using the draft space. However, if you create an article directly in the mainspace, please ensure that it is notable enough to meet the criteria outlined in WP:GNG and WP:BASIC. If not, someone may challenge its notability and open a discussion for AfD. Hteiktinhein (talk) 12:59, 27 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That's a really good idea Ko Hteiktinhein, I am interested to create the Western Regional Military Command and Northeastern Military Command articles of Myanmar in the future on the English Wikipedia and I will consider doing so, and they're very much needed on Wikipedia. I can wait anytime for the articles to be even if longer than 3 months, as I'm a well-informed Wikipedia editor, and also that's a great advice, that as an experienced editor, I do like the idea of creating articles directly without using the draft space, only if the articles are notable and meet the criteria for notability guidelines, while it's more straightforward and to create articles directly, it's acknowledgeable to create in submitting draft articles as well which I prefer over creating articles directly, that way you can gain more attraction and attention from people and administrators, and which I actually believe can usually extend your influence on Wikipedia, which I believe is a more fun and enjoyable experience to editing Wikipedia. I can truly understand that some people may take over creating articles directly rather than submitting it for review, therefore I really respect and also accept your opinion and view. Thank you for your advice Ko Hteiktinhein, I will be sure to note it as well. By the way, I would like to invite you to review dozens of my Wikipedia articles of Marriza (singer), Northeastern Regional Military Command (Myanmar), Aung La (singer), Thurein Tun, Khaing Thu Kha, and Tin Maung Win (general), I will provide a example, you only have to mark the articles with a "The page Northeastern Regional Military Command (Myanmar) has been reviewed." Autopatrolled granted

Hi Hteiktinhein, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 12:47, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Kho Nan Shin moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Kho Nan Shin. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and that its only source is youtube. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 15:52, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I’ve added two more sources: one is a town history book that includes information on the pagoda's history, and the other is an offline book titled "ခိုနန်းရှင်လိုဏ်ဂူတော်သမိုင်း မှတ်တမ်း" ("The Historical Record of the Cave Pagoda Kho nan Shin"), which contains research on the pagoda. However, a YouTube documentary video about the pagoda by a notable media outlet can also be used as a source on Wikipedia. Thanks! Hteiktinhein (talk) 18:21, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Areindama), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. @Onel5969 …Really? What is the clear reason for moving this article to draft? You stated that "it needs more sources to establish notability"—what the hell is that supposed to mean? The article now has three sources from Myanmar's biggest media outlets. They are all significant and directly discuss the temple, not just mention it in passing. I'm really confused. This temple is an important historical site from the 16th century and a major tourist attraction. There’s absolutely no issue with notability here.
I'm depressed and annoyed by your habit of randomly moving articles to draft, seemingly just to inflate your edit count or for some other strange reason. I’ve seen you move many articles to draft space, even when they’re clearly notable. I was shocked by your unexplainable actions months ago, and now it's my turn—one of my articles has been moved. I'm not the kind of editor who will just let someone like you do whatever they want. I plan to open an ANI case against your unreasonable behavior, not just on my behalf but for the many other editors affected by this.
Sure, I could accept it if the article was poorly sourced or truly lacked notability. But you move all types of articles the moment you touch them. If you have that much free time, maybe don’t waste it disturbing other editors on Wikipedia. I get that you may think you're acting in good faith, but honestly, I don't think your actions are helping Wikipedia at all. Honestly. Hteiktinhein (talk) 04:20, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Femke: I’d like to ask — in the future, do I really need to provide English translations of source titles? I thought this was only required when nominating an article for DYK or GA. Please clarify for me. Thanks! Hteiktinhein (talk) 19:58, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My main reasons for granting temporarily were the issues voorts identified, the lack of page numbers and the small issue of WP:TSI. To grant autopatrolled, I must assess how well editors understand verifiability. Providing translated titles is a much smaller issue. Tldr; it's not obligatory, but it will make admins jobs easier assessing the 'application' and is in line with the spirit of verifiability. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 20:22, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Biographical articles

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hello Hteiktinhein, the biographies of living persons policy prohibits restoring content others have removed in good faith without having found a consensus to do so, for example on the article's talk page.

To ensure that material about living people is written neutrally to a high standard, and based on high-quality reliable sources, the burden of proof is on those who wish to retain, restore, or undelete the disputed material.

When material about living persons has been deleted on good-faith BLP objections, any editor wishing to add, restore, or undelete it must ensure it complies with Wikipedia's content policies. If it is to be restored without significant change, consensus must be obtained first. Material that has been repaired to address concerns should be judged on a case-by-case basis.
— Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons § Restoration

If you edit war disputed content back into an article, you may be blocked from editing to prevent it from continuing, while those removing the material can rely on an exception described at WP:3RRNO's number 7 and wouldn't be blocked for their participation in the same edit war.

Furthermore, the verifiability policy (sections WP:ONUS and WP:BURDEN) is in favor of keeping material removed, even in non-biographies, unless the verifiability is proven and a consensus has been found for inclusion.

Thank you very much for creating a talk page discussion about this. I have now invited Skywatcher68, Plasticwonder and Maelle887766 to it on their talk pages using {{Please see}}. If there is a consensus to restore the material, please let me know (after a week or two at minimum, so that Maelle887766 had the chance to find the discussion and to reply as well).

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 09:38, 17 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much, @ToBeFree. I learned a new policy from you. I restored it once due to a misunderstanding, and I wasn’t aware that you are an admin. I’ve already started a discussion on the talk page, and I hope more editors will join in.
We Burmese editors are very few — only about four of us are currently active on English Wikipedia — but we are ready to help prevent COI issues and provide evidence as well. Hteiktinhein (talk) 10:27, 17 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
All good.
The others are now joining the discussion, this is perfect. At the moment, it seems that the content can soon be restored. Let's wait a week or two to see if Maelle887766 has good arguments against restoration, but it currently seems that consensus will be in favor of adding the material. And if a consensus has been found, it can be enforced even if one single editor (perhaps with a conflict of interest) disagrees. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:34, 17 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Given that several days have passed since the nomination was closed, and given how we generally don't re-open closed nominations except for exceptional circumstances, it is unlikely that it will be re-opened. However, if you are able to bring the article to good article status, you are free to renominate the article for DYK. Being brought to GA also likely means that whatever issues were raised in the DYK nomination would already be resolved, bolstering its chances for next time. The second source is continued coverage of the chief minister visiting the bridge that was built on the island, but you can use this reference when adding information about the bridge in the article.
The third source is the same as the second.
The fourth source is about an accidental death in the river, and the final one is about a pagoda event held on the island.
So, there is no independent coverage about the island itself, and therefore it fails verification. Hteiktinhein (talk) 16:31, 30 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Review and apologies

Hi Hteiktinhein. Mingalabar. I know that you are also upset and distressed about my over use and over reliance on AI and ChatGPT when writing Wikipedia articles, specifically related to my beloved home country Myanmar. I just want to let you know that, for the first time in my career in Wikipedia and in life, I created a Wikipedia article today on December 15, 2025, wrote it entirely myself, the writing, sources, short description, templates everything are all done by me. I didn't use any tools, no ai machine or "chatgpt written content" like you said. Everything you will see here is just skills and writing ethic for the first time in me, it's like the real version of me and not some altered ego ai version. The article name is Draft:Director Ko Pauk, you may know him , he is a Burmese actor turned resistance movement revolutionary. When I was writing the article, I must say that I really enjoyed writing it because it gave me a first hand experience that you don't need ai to write and do everything for you. All you need is skills, discipline, patience, and the will to do it and not to be lazy. You should check it out and review it now. It's extremely important as well so do it now. KhantWiki (talk) 06:07, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@KhantWiki Okay, I accept your apology. Please prove it with actions, not just words. Let’s see your ability without AI. I expect to see more genuine human writing from you. Hteiktinhein (talk) 17:08, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

QPQ at DYK

Hi Hteiktinhein, you have three DYKs that have been up for nearly a week and don't have QPQs done: Ma Aung Phyu, Thone Myo Shin, and Maung Me Khaung. QPQs are supposed to be provided at or close to the time of review, and they are at risk of being closed without further notice if you don't provide QPQs. ♠PMC(talk) 07:50, 1 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Premeditated Chaos I missed your ping because my internet connection was cut off just before the New Year. I’m now back online using an alternative access point.
If you don’t mind, I can review the QPQs now. I apologize for the unexpected technical issue and would like to appeal on that basis. I can complete the review within one hour if you allow me. Hteiktinhein (talk) 17:20, 3 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't close them, @Narutolovehinata5 did - you'll want to check with him or maybe post on WT:DYK. ♠PMC(talk) 19:27, 3 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there. I didn't know about this discussion or that you didn't have an internet connection. Given the circumstances, I'm okay with unclosing the nominations: however I would strongly recommend making your QPQs ahead of time next time (i.e. having them ready by the time of the nomination) to avoid cases like this. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 00:00, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Narutolovehinata5 Thank you very much for your understanding; I have noted your advice. I have now completed the required QPQs for the three DYK nominations, and I would appreciate it if they could be reopened. Thank you. Hteiktinhein (talk) 05:55, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I have now unclosed the nominations: please provide the QPQs. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 08:59, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

non-notable?

Poe Myat Hay Thar, also known as Kendra Erika, is an international pageant winner from Myanmar and the official titleholder of Face of Beauty International 2023. She is not “some random name”. She is one of the very few women in Myanmar’s pageant history to win an international crown. For the record, Myanmar has produced only four international winners: May Myat Noe, Myint Mo May, Honey Cho, and Kendra Erika. That alone should tell you how rare and significant her achievement is. Your unfamiliarity with her does not determine her relevance or her success. Alexanderiro (talk) 17:44, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

See WP:BIO1E. Hteiktinhein (talk) 17:48, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Only one event? She is the winner of Face Of Beauty International 2023, 3rd runner up of Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 and title holder of Miss International Myanmar 2024. Even Myanmar's representative who unplaced on international stage (Like Swe Zin Htet ,Sharr Htut Eaindra) and this year reigning queen of Face Of Beauty International 2025 from Philippines who is Nikki Buenafe Cheveh got their own articles but why not for Kendra? Alexanderiro (talk) 18:10, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexanderiro you can also ask to my senior @EmeraldRange. Sorry I have to time to answer your question now and still no your article. Hteiktinhein (talk) 19:02, 31 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Alexanderiro, please remember to remain civil. From what I can see the draft- this article needs cleanup and should be improved first. The references you provided need to be properly cited rather than just providing a bare URL.
Winning a competition does not automatically make someone automatically notable- but it appears there is at least one independent article supporting that she is notable (the mtn news article). You have the burden, as the creator of the article, to provide enough in-depth coverage about her. Just having a random page is also meaningless if the article only states she won the competition. My comment here itself is longer than the article itself! Otherwise, why have a separate article for a singular sentence when you could mention her in Face of Beauty International like all the other winners who don't have an article.
If you can improve these issues, you should face less issues from other editors. The way you created the article with no sources as a newer editor made many editors suspicious. But on my review, this topic is notable enough and I would accept it if I were reviewing it at WP:AFC assuming you improved and actually wrote an article rather than a database entry. Please check again. Draft:Ayeyawady W.F.C won the Champions and i added reliable sources. ZyTun (talk) 16:54, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@ZyTun unfortunately just winning Champions doesn't make it notable for wikipedia. You will need to find non-facebook sources independent from the team (no interviews, no routine coverage) that discuss the team, or this championship win. I tried helping by adding the source about the foreign player but unfortunately I don't know much about women's football in Ayeyarwady. မြန်မာလိုရှင်ပြရင် ပိုလွယ်ရင်ပြောပါ အကို။ EmeraldRange (talk/contribs) 22:17, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Hello, I really appreciate your comments in the Colet AfD.
I've been feeling incredibly frustrated on this website lately. That's even why I want to courtesy vanish soon (I've already taken the first steps, but will complete the process when I feel ready).
There's another editor, Howard the Duck, who consistently shows blatant hatred towards me, another editor he associates with me and Bini, the girl group to which Colet belongs.
He outright said we were worthy of hate on Sophia Laforteza's AfD (closed as "keep"). He also said I was proof of the Philippines' educational crisis on Maloi's AfD (closed as "no consensus") and kept gaslighting me even when mods called him out. The mods said the only reason he wasn't sanctioned was that I'd reported the incident apparently a few months too late.
On the Colet AfD, you can see HtD blatantly saying too that he considers The Philippine Star unreliable, despite its "generally reliable" consensus on Wikipedia, because he stopped reading it when Max Soliven died. I had to look it up and apparently, Soliven's death happened in November 2006 (almost 20 full years ago).
HtD claims to prioritize high-quality sources, yet in one AfD for an '80s song (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Ang_Pag-ibig_Kong_Ito), he insists that it's worth keeping despite a lack of references because it's a classic OPM hit across 4 decades. He also insisted that the Colet articles were all "praise" [sic] releases, yet presented a blatantly labeled press release for Wency Cornejo (as in, the words "press release" were in the URL and article page) as reliable because Cornejo is an older singer.
Most recently, HtD tried to ProD Hell University and when another editor removed it, he put it up for AfD based on a completely bogus reason: it's "not yet in filming stage": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Hell_University
In fact, almost all of the sources on the show's article indicate, if not outright state, that it's already been filmed. The series is coming out in less than a week.
There are pages with far, far worse sourcing than Hell University, yet HtD is clearly targeting pages that I've created or heavily edited.
It really crushes my soul. He's obviously a much older person than I am (if his comment about no longer reading a newspaper 20 years ago because his fave journalist died, when I was just a little kid, is any indication). It's painfully obvious that some editors on this site hate anything or anyone that's new and young, and only want older media/people to be on Wikipedia.
Scope Creep (Colet and Sherman Poon AfD nominator) seems to be like HtD, with the added factor of hating non-European things in particular. SC has been on an AfD spree towards a lot of different Asian-related articles lately, despite his entire editing history being dedicated to German and Russian historical figures.
SC always moves the goalposts for Asian-related articles and is even straight-up untruthful at many points (e.g. claiming twice that articles with bylines at the top have "no byline"). Yet he considers European history-related articles with very minimal sourcing and/or very poor formatting and/or prose not up to Wikipedia's standards to be good, e.g.

The bias is evident. When I joined Wikipedia in August 2024, the Vispop article (about a Scandinavian music genre) had zero sources. Until now, it still only has two. Yet no one has ever put it up for AfD. The editors only ever put a banner on the page.
I'm sorry this is long. But I just wanted to say thank you for real, and explain how much I relate to your frustrations, especially as an Asian person myself. Asian-related articles are held to such unfairly brutal, and often dishonest, standards on this site. Yet European-related ones can have zero/merely a few sources at all, and still be retained with no issue. It's just soul-crushing. Bloomagiliw (talk) 10:29, 1 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Bloomagiliw, Hteiktinhein: I think we should add now this editor on ANI. Recently, they got blocked due to WP:3RR. ROY is WAR Talk! 09:06, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Hteiktinhein I really hope you can read what I've said about Howard the Duck here as well. Check his AfD for Hell University too. He is not a good faith or balanced editor simply because he's from the Philippines. I really hope you can see that before consulting him. Even the mods have called him out for his aggression against other Filipino editors. Bloomagiliw (talk) 13:36, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Bloomagiliw and @Royiswariii Wait... I'm reading this...give me 5min to understand. Hteiktinhein (talk) 13:39, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Okay.
Just informing you about these things. Howard the Duck already talked about the awards at the top of the AfD, and he provided blatantly bad faith arguments against them like "The Philippine Star sucks now because I stopped reading it when my fave journalist died 20 years ago." That's not an exaggeration. He says that. You can see if you scroll up.
Asking him about his thoughts on those again is just an invitation for him to bludgeon, call sources "trash", and probably make another thinly veiled personal attack against me again.
Just last month, multiple mods called him out for saying discriminatory things against me and other Filipinos: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/IncidentArchive1210
I would not say that dismissing sources purely on the basis of him not liking them is fair or balanced analysis. He also put Hell University up for AfD because "it's not yet in filming stage" even though the page sources have said for weeks that the show has been filmed. Tried to blame me and other editors when we all called him out. I hope you can see that he's just the Asian version of Scope Creep. Bloomagiliw (talk) 14:02, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, this is a very long, heart-reflective explanation of indirect “bullying” by old Wikipedia editors. As one of only four editors from the poor country of Myanmar (there are no more 4 editors from Myanmar on Eng-Wiki), I have faced the same situation. I am really depressed that no one tries to defend us. Some Asian editors are not interested in intervening in the arguments or tensions of other editors.
Sometimes it is even hard for me to handle baseless editors or those with no clear understanding, so I request advice from my senior, @EmeraldRange, and then we handle the issue together. Anyway, we are a small community and still very weak. It is really hard to defend ourselves when editors have more policy knowledge than us. Sometimes taking one step back is better, based on my experience.
I really admire you guys from the Philippines because you are not afraid to challenge old editors when they are wrong. I see you counter them with detailed explanations. For me, I can’t do that because I was too angry to write long explanations. However, I really worry about how Asian sources are judged.
Even though the Philippines has a high level of quality media and reputable publications in both local languages and English, they still dare to label those sources as gossip media, which shocked me. They should feel sad about my country’s media situation, because Myanmar has an ongoing civil war. There is now zero entertainment media, only media focusing on politics and war. I have nothing to use as sources for Myanmar celebrities.
In the past, we had The Myanmar Times, but it is now gone. I am very sure that with Scope’s personal source analysis, The Myanmar Times would also easily be labeled as a “paid article,” “social-media driven,” or “interview-based,” etc. I really want to open an ANI for these editors and collect evidence of their over-weighted actions and hoax. Hteiktinhein (talk) 14:03, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
HtD is something Jesus. Calling sources “bad” just because his favorite journalist died 20 years ago? Really? He is judging sources based on personal feelings. Please be careful—his recent edits appear to be retaliation toward you because of a past incident.
When we face this kind of iron-headed editor, ANI is the answer. I never want to go to ANI, but sometimes it is the only choice. Please also note that when we point out their unfair actions, they often accuse us of personal attacks instead. It’s very boring and exhausting. Hteiktinhein (talk) 14:44, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
HtD obviously doing a bludgeoning the process of AfD. That's why I really don't interact to him 'cause every someone to keep the votes, he's always fight back and trying to win or making a point to the editor, even though that's their opinion on their analysis. How you communicate with others

I've just closed an ANI discussion in which you were heavily involved. You were not the focus of that discussion, so I did not mention you in the closing statement. However, several users there criticized your behavior and I would like to warn you personally that your style of communication is unproductive. You have repeatedly made broad, melodramatic generalizations that were irrelevant to the topic of discussion. Your comments have inflamed conflict unnecessarily.

You need to improve your behavior. Address the topic at hand and focus on arguments, not people. Never make personal attacks against other editors. Think twice before you post and avoid posting when you are feeling emotional – take a break, go for a walk, have some tea, and then come back to Wikipedia. Make a conscious effort to deescalate whenever you disagree with someone else. If you follow this advice and keep your own hands clean, you will be in a much stronger position when criticizing the conduct of others. Toadspike [Talk] 16:11, 14 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Toadspike Thank you for reaching out. Some of my comments may have sounded strange and may have made other users more fired, but I have never ever made personal attacks on other editors. Because I understand the rules and have seen how many editors have been blocked on Wikipedia for personal attacks. I will note more from your teaching. Thanks again. Hteiktinhein (talk) 06:06, 15 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hteiktinhein, do you intend to withdraw the WP:ASPERSIONs you cast about me at Template:Did you know nominations/Princess Thonbanhla? Please advise, particularly in light of the warning above. Dclemens1971 (talk) 20:37, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you are trying to turn your mistake into my mistake. Speaking like this on my talk page does not make you look cool guy. When I said that you did not research the facts, I meant it based on your accusation against me; there was no need to strike your comments in the DYK nomination. I did not directly accuse you of anything and only stated what I thought, using a cautious tone such as “maybe.” Hteiktinhein (talk) 20:44, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
You accused me of overwhelming bullying (diff). You said my review was a personal attack...ordered by email (diff), a comment that you then revised to call my review a personal attack and an overwhelming, non-neutral review. It feels like someone may have influenced this behind the scenes, and may be the outcome of the recent ANI case. (diff). I wasn't following the ANI case until I came to your talk page to formally request you to withdraw your aspersions and saw Toadspike's comment, and I have not coordinated with anyone on or off wiki about this review, so these are indeed aspersions, which collectively may be considered a personal attack. Your remarks also show a failure to assume good faith, since instead of working from an assumption that I am here to improve the project your very first response was to say you would report me to ANI and accuse me of improper coordination with others. (I hope you can see that I am giving you a chance to walk back your aspersions instead of digging yourself deeper.) Dclemens1971 (talk) 21:00, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Half of your reviews on my DYK nomination are not accurate. You made a judgment very quickly and closed it without giving me a fair chance to explain or respond. That feels unfair.
I believe discussion should allow both sides to clarify their reasoning before a decision is made. No editor is above explanation or immune from reconsidering a decision. If there were specific concerns, I would have appreciated the opportunity to address them before closure.
If the review was truly fair and fully considered my explanations, I would not feel the need to respond strongly like this. Please reflect on whether the assessment was made carefully and in accordance with policy.
I am not afraid of consequences if I have acted in a neutral and truthful manner. My intention has always been to follow policy and maintain neutrality. Hteiktinhein (talk) 21:13, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Insults like this one are a form of personal attack, too. Please stop and reconsider your behaviour. I am not obliged to keep participating in a review process in which you have insulted me, assumed bad faith and cast aspersions about me. (I believe our only prior interaction was when I spoke favourably about your application for autopatrolled last spring. Please don't give me further cause to regret the good faith I extended to you.) Dclemens1971 (talk) 22:09, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I can remember now....let me withdraw from my heat. Pls let me cool. @Dclemens1971 Hteiktinhein (talk) 22:14, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Dclemens1971, I have struck my harsh behavior toward you. I was sensitive because I thought I was correct and responded too harshly. Sorry for that! I was very heated when I saw your review and it was impossible to control my emotions. From my side, your review seemed too much to me because you suggested closing the discussion without an explanation from me. You should give me a chance to explain and to fix the failures. I'm an experienced editor with no issues in the past; I can fix anything if someone points out what is wrong. Now I have invited other senior editors to be involved in this discussion. I have reconsidered my behavior and realize I was too overheated, and I apologize for my behavior. Have a great weekend break. Hteiktinhein (talk) 22:32, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Apology accepted, and my thanks for it. Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:46, 17 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
