Extended-confirmed-protected edit request on 22 November 2025

I request for where it says "sold African artisans, farmers, and warriors" to be changed to "sold African artisans, farmers, and warriors as slaves" please. I also request for where it says "They were sold as slaves to European colonists" to be changed to "They were sold to European colonists" please. ~2025-35591-57 (talk) 19:06, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: No reason was given for the proposed change, which seems to be mere tinkering with the wording without any actual improvement. Day Creature (talk) 05:05, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The reason is that the African artisans, farmers, and warriors were already sold as slaves by African slave traders, so the sentence "They were sold as slaves to European colonists" is redundant and should be changed to "They were sold to European colonists" instead. ~2025-35813-83 (talk) 11:59, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Will somebody reply? ~2025-36367-21 (talk) 22:07, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't get a reply here that satisfies you, you can consider WP:APPNOTE or WP:DR. WP:XC may be of interest. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 05:12, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I request for where it says "African slave traders sold African artisans, farmers, and warriors to European slave traders" to be changed to "African slave traders captured and sold African artisans, farmers, and warriors as slaves to European slave traders" and I also request for where it says "They were sold as slaves to European colonists" to be changed to "They were sold to European colonists", so the wording would be better. ~2025-38397-58 (talk) 23:46, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. This was already discussed multiple times before. Look at the above requests. NotJamestack (✉️|📝) 23:53, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This edit request is different to the last. African slave traders captured and sold African artisans, farmers, and warriors as slaves. ~2025-38352-49 (talk) 00:14, 4 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
NotJamestack, will you reply to my response? ~2025-38760-52 (talk) 20:49, 5 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, discussed multiple times before. NotJamestack (✉️|📝) 20:55, 5 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This edit request is different and I want it to be treated differently too. ~2025-40216-37 (talk) 20:47, 12 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Before Slavery

Did African American history really start in the 16th century during slavery? We were much more before slavery. ~2026-11119-63 (talk) 12:12, 19 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

According to African-American history, yeah, pretty much. African history is of course another matter. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:25, 19 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
