New Page Patrol newsletter October 2022

Hello John B123,

Much has happened since the last newsletter over two months ago. The open letter finished with 444 signatures. The letter was sent to several dozen people at the WMF, and we have heard that it is being discussed but there has been no official reply. A related article appears in the current issue of The Signpost. If you haven't seen it, you should, including the readers' comment section.

Awards: Barnstars were given for the past several years (thanks to MPGuy2824), and we are now all caught up. The 2021 cup went to John B123 for leading with 26,525 article reviews during 2021. To encourage moderate activity, a new "Iron" level barnstar is awarded annually for reviewing 360 articles ("one-a-day"), and 100 reviews earns the "Standard" NPP barnstar. About 90 reviewers received barnstars for each of the years 2018 to 2021 (including the new awards that were given retroactively). All awards issued for every year are listed on the Awards page. Check out the new Hall of Fame also.

Software news: Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have connected with WMF developers who can review and approve patches, so they have been able to fix some bugs, and make other improvements to the Page Curation software. You can see everything that has been fixed recently here. The reviewer report has also been improved.

NPP backlog May – October 15, 2022

Suggestions:

  • There is much enthusiasm over the low backlog, but remember that the "quality and depth of patrolling are more important than speed".
  • Reminder: an article should not be tagged for any kind of deletion for a minimum of 15 minutes after creation and it is often appropriate to wait an hour or more. (from the NPP tutorial)
  • Reviewers should focus their effort where it can do the most good, reviewing articles. Other clean-up tasks that don't require advanced permissions can be left to other editors that routinely improve articles in these ways (creating Talk Pages, specifying projects and ratings, adding categories, etc.) Let's rely on others when it makes the most sense. On the other hand, if you enjoy doing these tasks while reviewing and it keeps you engaged with NPP (or are guiding a newcomer), then by all means continue.
  • This user script puts a link to the feed in your top toolbar.

Backlog:

Saving the best for last: From a July low of 8,500, the backlog climbed back to 11,000 in August and then reversed in September dropping to below 6,000 and continued falling with the October backlog drive to under 1,000, a level not seen in over four years. Keep in mind that there are 2,000 new articles every week, so the number of reviews is far higher than the backlog reduction. To keep the backlog under a thousand, we have to keep reviewing at about half the recent rate!

New Pages Patrol newsletter January 2023

Hello John B123,

New Page Review queue December 2022
Backlog

The October drive reduced the backlog from 9,700 to an amazing 0! Congratulations to WaddlesJP13 who led with 2084 points. See this page for further details. The queue is steadily rising again and is approaching 2,000. It would be great if <2,000 were the “new normal”. Please continue to help out even if it's only for a few or even one patrol a day.

2022 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2022 cup for 28,302 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 80/day. There was one Gold Award (5000+ reviews), 11 Silver (2000+), 28 Iron (360+) and 39 more for the 100+ barnstar. Rosguill led again for the 4th year by clearing 49,294 redirects. For the full details see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone!

Minimum deletion time: The previous WP:NPP guideline was to wait 15 minutes before tagging for deletion (including draftification and WP:BLAR). Due to complaints, a consensus decided to raise the time to 1 hour. To illustrate this, very new pages in the feed are now highlighted in red. (As always, this is not applicable to attack pages, copyvios, vandalism, etc.)

New draftify script: In response to feedback from AFC, the The Move to Draft script now provides a choice of set messages that also link the creator to a new, friendly explanation page. The script also warns reviewers if the creator is probably still developing the article. The former script is no longer maintained. Please edit your edit your common.js or vector.js file from User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js to User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft.js

Redirects: Some of our redirect reviewers have reduced their activity and the backlog is up to 9,000+ (two months deep). If you are interested in this distinctly different task and need any help, see this guide, this checklist, and spend some time at WP:RFD.

Discussions with the WMF The PageTriage open letter signed by 444 users is bearing fruit. The Growth Team has assigned some software engineers to work on PageTriage, the software that powers the NewPagesFeed and the Page Curation toolbar. WMF has submitted dozens of patches in the last few weeks to modernize PageTriage's code, which will make it easier to write patches in the future. This work is helpful but is not very visible to the end user. For patches visible to the end user, volunteers such as Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have been writing patches for bug reports and feature requests. The Growth Team also had a video conference with the NPP coordinators to discuss revamping the landing pages that new users see.

Reminders
  • Newsletter feedback - please take this short poll about the newsletter.
  • There is live chat with patrollers on the New Page Patrol Discord.
  • Please add the project discussion page to your watchlist.
  • If you no longer wish to be a reviewer, please ask any admin to remove you from the group. If you want the tools back again, just ask at PERM.

New Pages Patrol newsletter June 2023

Hello John B123,

New Page Review queue April to June 2023

Backlog

Redirect drive: In response to an unusually high redirect backlog, we held a redirect backlog drive in May. The drive completed with 23851 reviews done in total, bringing the redirect backlog to 0 (momentarily). Congratulations to Hey man im josh who led with a staggering 4316 points, followed by Meena and Greyzxq with 2868 and 2546 points respectively. See this page for more details. The redirect queue is steadily rising again and is steadily approaching 4,000. Please continue to help out, even if it's only for a few or even one review a day.

Redirect autopatrol: All administrators without autopatrol have now been added to the redirect autopatrol list. If you see any users who consistently create significant amounts of good quality redirects, consider requesting redirect autopatrol for them here.

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team, consisting of Sam, Jason and Susana, and also some patches from Jon, has been hard at work updating PageTriage. They are focusing their efforts on modernising the extension's code rather than on bug fixes or new features, though some user-facing work will be prioritised. This will help make sure that this extension is not deprecated, and is easier to work on in the future. In the next month or so, we will have an opt-in beta test where new page patrollers can help test the rewrite of Special:NewPagesFeed, to help find bugs. We will post more details at WT:NPPR when we are ready for beta testers.

Articles for Creation (AFC): All new page reviewers are now automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing (you do not need to apply at WT:AFCP like was required previously). To install the AFC helper script, visit Special:Preferences, visit the Gadgets tab, tick "Yet Another AFC Helper Script", then click "Save". To find drafts to review, visit Special:NewPagesFeed, and at the top left, tick "Articles for Creation". To review a draft, visit a submitted draft, click on the "More" menu, then click "Review (AFCH)". You can also comment on and submit drafts that are unsubmitted using the script.

You can review the AFC workflow at WP:AFCR. It is up to you if you also want to mark your AFC accepts as NPP reviewed (this is allowed but optional, depends if you would like a second set of eyes on your accept). Don't forget that draftspace is optional, so moves of drafts to mainspace (even if they are not ready) should not be reverted, except possibly if there is conflict of interest.

Pro tip: Did you know that visual artists such as painters have their own SNG? The most common part of this "creative professionals" criteria that applies to artists is WP:ARTIST 4b (solo exhibition, not group exhibition, at a major museum) or 4d (being represented within the permanent collections of two museums).

Hi Iyosomi3. The article was written in a highly promotional manner and read like a press release for the company. You may wish to continue working on Draft:Kdnplus, taking into account the comments by AfC reviewers. --John B123 (talk) 08:32, 2 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ebrahim Bahmani

Speedy deletion nomination of Ebrahim Bahmani [edit] Hello Jonoubnews, I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ebrahim Bahmani for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles. If you don't want Ebrahim Bahmani to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks! Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer. John B123 (talk) 06:21, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Jonoubnews (talk) 14:36, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ebrahim Bahmani is a prominent figure in southern Iran, actively engaged in urban management, media, and regional politics. In addition to his work as a writer and journalist, he has held key leadership positions, including Chairman of the Islamic Council of Bandar Shirinoo, Chairman of the Islamic Council of Siraf District, and Vice Chairman of the Islamic Council of Kangan County.

He has played a significant role in addressing infrastructure challenges, advocating for social development, and improving governance in Bushehr Province. His contributions and influence have been widely covered in reputable national media outlets such as IRNA, Mehr News Agency, ISNA, and Fars News, demonstrating his public recognition and notability.

Furthermore, his selection as the "Top Youth of Bushehr Province" at the National Youth of the Year Festival further underscores his importance and credibility. Given the multiple reliable and independent sources confirming his impact, the deletion of this article under Criterion A7 is unwarranted.

A320 page

hi John,

first of all I wanted to tell you that the French page for this motorway didn't have any sources, so this one didn't too, as info about French spur routes are pretty scarce and hard to find, and as I use it sometimes I added everything I knew about it yesterday

plus it isn't the definitive page, it's going to be a page I'll regularly edit to add more info about this motorway that didn't have a page before yesterday, and it's also my first attempt at creating a page

kind regards,

Problème d'ICC ambulant Problème d'ICC ambulant (talk) 07:30, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Problème d'ICC ambulant. The various different language variants of Wikipedia don't share a common set of rules. Each language sets its own policies and guidelines so what is acceptable on one may not be on a different language version.
On the English Wikipedia there are basic principles that need to be adhered to. The first is WP:NOTABILITY, which in short means the topic of every article needs to be notable. This is defined as A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. The second is WP:Verifiability, verifiability means that people are able to check that information comes from a reliable source. Its content is determined by published information rather than editors' beliefs, experiences, or previously unpublished ideas or information.
I hope this helps. You may want to move the article to WP:draftspace where you can work on it without hindrance and then when you feel it is ready move it back to mainspace. Regards --John B123 (talk) 20:17, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Francisco

Thank you for your hatnote for translation from the Spanish language page for Francisco Javier de Céspedes, but the reason I didn't translate the page in the first place is because they have so many facts on that page that I just can't verify from their sources yet. The Spanish language website seems to have a different approach to sources and citations. They have them, but they don't show up in-line. Guylaen (talk) 21:52, 1 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Guylaen. Firstly apologies for not getting back to you sooner, my life outside Wikipedia has been hectic lately. The English Wikipedia does seem to have higher standards for verification than other language versions. Also the requirements have changed over the years so even on the English version some older articles fall below the current standards. I assume the same is true on the Spanish version.
I can only commend you for not just translating the Spanish version unreferenced. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:25, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Storage class, which you seem not to like. Yes it needs more references and such, but they don't appear instantly. In the mean time, you revert to a redirect to a section on the C programming language that has no references, and only describes C. Storage class is important for all languages, though some only offer one choice. And references are just as important in the case of C as any other language. Why no comment about no references there? thanks, Gah4 (talk) 19:20, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gah4 per WP:BURDEN, the burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution. The citations need to be added at the same time as the content to satisfy WP:V.
You're right, C doesn't have inline references. Nor do many other older articles which were probably created before the current verifiability standards. The article was redirected as part of New Page Patrol, which tries to ensure new articles comply with the current minimum standards. Regards --John B123 (talk) 20:48, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The whole C syntax article has {{More footnotes needed}}, but the actual storage class specifiers section has none. I, and some others, were working on the Storage class article, and especially to find good references. They are not always easy to find, especially for the good ones. An imperfect article helps others who know, help find them. The redirect doesn't help, though. The idea of storage class should be independent of the C language, but you would never know that, if the only mention is for C. Gah4 (talk) 18:59, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gah4, there is a copy of the article at Draft:Storage class. Perhaps you and the other editors could develop the article there and when ready move it back to mainspace. (I'm quite happy to move it for you when you feel it is ready.) Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:03, 7 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I could, but probably won't. Someone else started that one about the time that I stated mine, and I did copy some from theirs. I don't remember ever working on anyone else's draft article. Seems that I now have 9804 edits since 2006, so am not a new and inexperienced editor. And I still don't know why a section of the C article with no references is better than one here with references. Gah4 (talk) 08:27, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ceriantipatharia

Hi, John B123.

A week ago you correctly marked Ceriantipatharia as a coral-stub. Since then, I have significantly improved the article. I believe that now deserves the stub template to be removed for the following reasons/criteria:

Text expanded as much as is sensible for this article in a general purpose encyclopedia. Meaningful references added. Historical notability made explicit. A clear candidate to apply the Croughton/London rule, in my opinion. Weaker criteria: a) about 490 words; b) two images added.

Could you please check it and tell me, for me to remove the template? Thanks. PMRonchi (talk) 14:07, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

... for me to remove the template if you agree, or edit it more if necessary?
(that was what was meant :) PMRonchi (talk) 14:10, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Pmronchi. You've improved the article well. I've removed the stub tag and also marked it as start class on the talk page. I think it's not far off a C class. Regards --John B123 (talk) 18:59, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello John B123:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in June!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 1 month of outstanding reviews from the current 3+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 June 2025 through 30 June 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3200 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edit of template for "Prostitution in the United States"

Hello!

I removed Northern Liberties, Philadelphia from Template:Prostitution in the United States. I could not find any sources for this nor have ever heard this before. What I think whoever added this originally was trying to reference is the Philadelphia Tenderloin, a neighborhood which no longer exists. In any case, the Philadelphia Tenderloin was never coterminous with Northern Liberties, though they are adjacent. I’m working on adding an article for the Philadelphia Tenderloin, but for now, listing Northern Liberties in the template is inaccurate.

_______________

Location of Northern Liberties, from the Wikipedia article: “Northern Liberties is located north of Center City (specifically, Old City) and is bordered by Girard Avenue to the north; Callowhill Street to the south; North 6th Street to the west; and the Delaware River to the east””

According to the Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia, the Tenderloin was “bound by Sixth Street on the east, Thirteenth Street on the west, Race Street to the south, and Callowhill Street to the north.” [1]

Hello, John B123! Would you mind marking the article The Court of the Dead as reviewed so that the article appears in search engine results? The book has topped multiple bestseller lists, so should qualify! Justthefacts (talk) 20:50, 10 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Justthefacts. It looks a well written article. Per the notability guidelines for books: the book has been the subject of two or more non-trivial published works appearing in sources that are independent of the book itself. "Non-trivial published works" usually means reviews. Perhaps the 'Critical response' section can be expanded to include other reviews? Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:37, 10 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@John B123: Hi, John B123! Actually, the notability guidelines for books criteria explicitly states that "non-trivial published works" includes both "bestseller lists" and "reviews", so the article already qualifies on the number of bestseller lists that it appears alone, but, nevertheless, the Critical response section has now also been expanded per your request! Regards. --Justthefacts (talk) 22:21, 10 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Justthefacts: I've seen arguments at WP:AfD that inclusion in a best seller list does not satisfy the WP:GNG requirement of 'in-depth coverage' (and often sparks a debate of WP:SNG v GNG) which is why I prefer the 'safer option' of reviews. Notability aside, I think expanding the Critical response section helps the article balance. Another reviewer has already marked it as reviewed but I would happily have done so. Congratulations on writing such a nice article. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 22:51, 10 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Re Review

Hello @John B123, could you please take a look at the article Nupur Joshi. This page is about a Hindi actress. I have attempted to write it based on information from several important sources. Does it still need some improvements? Because I have noticed that it has remained unreviewed even after several months. Perhaps this article appears to have been written by someone else before 2020, which you also reviewed Thanks Neuroswasthya (talk) 12:27, 12 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Neuroswasthya. An article about the actress was deleted at AfD on notability grounds. I don't see that anything she has appeared in since then shows that she has now met the notability requirements. Most of the references are interviews with Joshi, or based on what she has said. You need in include references from reliable sources that are independent of the subject and give significant coverage of her. Regards.--John B123 (talk) 15:30, 12 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @John B123, When this page was first created, many shows weren't added, which have been added now. Nupur plays the lead role in shows like Rakhi – Atoot Rishtey Ki Dor, Jasoos Vijay, Ssshhhh...Koi Hai etc., which qualifies for WP:NACTOR criteria. Joshi also has supporting roles in several serials and films. The reason for failing the WP:GNG criteria at that time was probably that only 9 sources were added at that time, some of which were not even reliable, but now some important sources have been added like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 All these reliable sources talk about the artist's role and character. Source 6 is inspired by the Government awarding the short film. I think this article may be a little weak but it also meets the WP:GNG criteria to some extent. You are requested to please take a look, your opinion is important. thanks Neuroswasthya (talk) 08:05, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Neuroswasthya. Of the refs you mention, 1-5 are based on interviews with Joshi or what she has said so are not 'independent' and therefore don't contribute towards notability. Ref 6 doesn't actually mention her by name. As I said previously you need references from reliable sources that are independent of the subject and give significant coverage of her. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:35, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@John B123 ok i will look for some secondary reliable sources if they are available..thanks Neuroswasthya (talk) 07:24, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've been working on All Japan Road Race Championship related articles recently and noticed that the current Template:Infobox motorcycle rider doesn’t include support for this series. Nobody has ever really worked on anything All Japan-related on English Wikipedia (other than the main article, which is pretty neglected), so naturally it's missing in there. The template already includes other regional series of similar relevance in motorcycle racing like the BSB, Isle of Man TT or MotoAmerica. The All Japan sits at a somewhat similar recognition level I reckon (just not English-speaking).

Would it be possible to add All Japan support to the template? I haven’t edited templates before so I'm not sure what the steps would be, whether it would require a talk page discussion. I've noticed you're the last editor to implement a whole series to the template (WorldWCR), back in 2024, so advice would be appreciated. I was thinking about including the current four categories (JSB1000, ST1000, ST600 and J-GP3) separately, similar to how Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP are incorporated individually, since these categories don't necessarily work as feeder series to each other. Thanks! Fishyblyn (talk) 14:35, 22 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fishyblyn. It should be possible to add this to the template. I added the WorldWCR without discussion, but as this is a FIM world championship it would be difficult to argue against it's inclusion. A nation series that is not in an English speaking country and not extensively covered in English language media may be objected to. I would suggest adding it to the template and seeing if there is any reaction.
On the template All Japan Road Race Championship JSB1000 category is unwieldy for a section heading would All Japan JSB1000 be ok? (And similar for the other categories). Regards --John B123 (talk) 00:39, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@John B123 Yes All Japan JSB1000 is perfect for the header. Will try implementing soon. Thanks for the help! Fishyblyn (talk) 11:48, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Fishyblyn. I went to edit the template this morning but see you have already added the All Japan sections. Looking at the changes, you seem to have covered everything and not made any errors, (Edit to add) I added the ST1000 stats to the infobox of Taiga Hada and all worked correctly, well done. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 07:45, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @John B123! Thank you! It's nice to hear this from an experienced editor :) Thanks for the help and advice again! Fishyblyn (talk) 11:23, 25 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello John B123:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in December!

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:07, 23 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Znak (disambiguation)

I was about to mark Znak (disambiguation) as reviewed, but then I noticed that you had unreveiwed it. Is there an issue that I haven't noticed? -MPGuy2824 (talk) 05:20, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The article Znak was a dab page but has been replaced with a newly created article that doesn't seem appropriate under that title. I was going to move the new article and restore Znak as a dab but ran out of time before going to work. Regards John B123 (talk) 08:41, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@MPGuy2824: Sorry forgot to ping you John B123 (talk) 08:48, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you reviewed

Hi John B123. Thank you for your work on Dwójka. Another editor, Voorts, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Please don't mark a DAB page as patrolled if it's formatted completely incorrectly.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Voorts}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

voorts (talk/contributions) 20:37, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Voorts: How was the page not formatted incorrectly? --John B123 (talk) 20:47, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
This is what the page looked like when you marked it patrolled. It didn't contain the Dwójka may refer to and the {{dab}} template was above the content of the DAB page. voorts (talk/contributions) 20:50, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
(Also no need to ping me as I am subscribed to this thread). voorts (talk/contributions) 20:53, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure what happened there, I normally fix the formatting in cases like this. --John B123 (talk) 21:23, 12 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, John B123. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Harley-Davidson 250cc two-strokes, a page you created, has not been edited in at least five months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.

If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 16:07, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for all the speedy deletion designations - I had been cleaning up after another editor who moved a whole bunch of poor articles from draftspace, by moving them back to draftspace, and didn't realize I needed to tag the articlespace article for deletion. Sorry you had to clean up after my cleanup! BubbaJoe123456 (talk) 19:34, 25 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi BubbaJoe123456, no problem. Unfortunately, per WP:DRAFTNO, once an article has been moved out of draftspace it shouldn't be moved back there. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:49, 25 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Braison Cyrus page edits

Hey there,

Would you mind not reversing my edits to Braison Cyrus's wikipedia page? It originally linked to his father's page, but I am now trying to make him his own page since he is now an independent singer with music available for purchase/streaming, not just the son of another singer. I'd really appreciate it if you didn't keep undoing my edits. Thank you Anthonygt29 (talk) 20:23, 3 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anthonygt29. The page was unreferenced which is essential for biographies of living people. I would suggest you create the page at Draft:Braison Cyrus and when it is suitably referenced and shows he complies with the notability guidelines it can be moved to mainspace. Regards --John B123 (talk) 20:43, 3 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Enduropale du Touquet, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tim Lopes was added.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 09:24, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, John B123! Would you mind marking the article for European Commission v Hungary as reviewed so that the article appears in search engine results? The case easily exceeds the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability. Justthefacts (talk) 20:12, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Justthefacts: There are currently over 16,000 articles awaiting review. Requesting a review from multiple editors (JTtheOG, Utopes, Slgrandson, Overthrows and myself) a couple of hours after an article is created seems grossly unfair to other editors who are awaiting their article's review. I always wonder about people who are concerned about their article's search engine results, it suggests they have some hidden agenda to me. Having a quick look at the article WP:OVERCITE seems applicable. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:33, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@John B123: You responded very cordially the last time that I brought an article to your attention for review, so I'm not sure as to why the change in attitude. I always meticulously ensure that articles I create adhere to the guidelines and policies of Wikipedia, so that is why I bring articles that I create to the attention of new page patrollers for review, because the articles are always ready to review. --Justthefacts (talk) 20:49, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
because the articles are always ready to review I'm sure the authors of the other 16k articles think the same. Why the change in attitude? As I mentioned previously, people who seem concerned about search engine listings set alarm bells ringing in my head, John B123 (talk) 21:50, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@John B123: I said the exact same thing last time, but you responded very cordially! --Justthefacts (talk) 21:54, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly AI-generated? JTtheOG (talk) 20:39, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@JTtheOG: Absolutely not. Nor does it even remotely resemble such. I always spend many long hours on creating new articles and meticulously ensuring that articles I create adhere to the guidelines and policies of Wikipedia before publishing any articles at all. --Justthefacts (talk) 20:50, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
