WP:GNG seems very weak. Reception is limited to few listicles and short commentary on the performance of the actor portraying her (that could be merged to Kristen Bell). WP:ATD-R suggests we can redirect this to the TV show instead of hard deletion if we agree she is not notable. My BEFORE does not show anything useful to save this with. - Keep The GNG has been adequately met for over a decade, the nominator's opinion notwithstanding. Yes, coverage of the actress playing her, in the context of playing her, counts. Bell liked the character sufficiently well she came back twice after the three season run had ended, and was a key part of the movie promotion. Sure, there's a bit of extra plot summary here, but merger to the show is not the correct target as List of Veronica Mars characters exists, something the nom should normally have picked up on in preparation for this nomination. - Uh, "keep because the actor liked the character", really? And yes, the list you found is a superior redirect target to what I linked, sure. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:26, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- The actress liked the character enough to drum up support for the most successful crowdfunded movie for its 2013 time, in part because she and her key costars (Colantoni, Dohring, etc.) were on board. Check out the video; I think it's hilarious even if you don't know the show. Of course, they then did a whole 4th season, which I still haven't watched, and which is why the show is no longer a featured topic. Jclemens (talk) 21:54, 8 February 2025 (UTC)

- Keep – Given that she is the title character of the show, there is a fair amount of coverage of the character specifically within the show. See here, here, here for some examples (latter two are available through WP:TWL). RunningTiger123 (talk) 03:16, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- @RunningTiger123 Nice, those would seem to sufficiently address the GNG/SIGCOV criteria I was concerned about. I am fine withdrawing the nom. The {{notability}} should be updated to {{sources exist}} with a link to this AfD; if the consensus is to keep, but no improvement is done. - Keep Titular character in the show and although the sourcing could be better it's adequate to meet WP:N. The fix to that is to improve it, not to blindly delete it. Andy Dingley (talk) 17:25, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
