Maximilian Ortner moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Maximilian Ortner. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and in particular, the article does not meet WP:SPORTCRIT, which requires that sports biographies "include at least one reference to a source providing significant coverage of the subject". I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. SunloungerFrog (talk) 23:28, 26 February 2025 (UTC)

Hey, it just gets too long and clutters the page, better overview and organized (Thumb rule for me is 10 medals). Kante4 (talk) 09:18, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Another option would be to cut the lower-rank medals and move them to text? But there's time for that in a couple of years. Tone 09:20, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
Zelensky/USA altercation
I think you closed Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates#(Closed) Trump-Zelenskyy altercation prematurely - especially since the "consensus" has already shifted from SNOW keep to mixed in the short period since the discussion began. This is a moving story. There's no rush to post, but neither is there a rush to close. Perhaps some here are so used to Trump's lunacy and Vance's extreme-right pro-Russia stuff, that they missing that this is very much in the news outside of their locality? (it seems very bizarre to me that we don't at least have a fulsome discussion of something that is on the front of every newspaper today). Nfitz (talk) 21:24, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- I think the consensus was a very clear oppose to post at this particular moment. Developing story, yes, but this is actually covered in Ongoing. Tone 22:07, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- Ongoing is about the Ukraine war. This isn't much of how the international media are treating this - which is more the US shift to supporting Putin - the threat to the western alliance, and the ongoing threats of the USA to annex some NATO countries, the USA's failure and bullying in the meeting, and the unanimity and pro-Ukraine declarations of just about every major western nation after the USA's support of Russia. Also it wasn't a "very clear oppose". Yes, it started that way for a couple of hours. But the last 10 "votes in the preceding 10 hours are 5 to 5 (well, one way maybe, but very clear that the discussion should continue). Yeah, I think some of the media comments may be overstated - but that's not a factor in our decisions. I'm not saying there was support to post. But at this point, with less than a day of discussion - I think the discussion should continue; not close. Nfitz (talk) 23:01, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- Feel free to reopen it then, I won't mind. Occasionally I close the discussions for which I think a consensus to post will not develop, but I may be wrong, of course. Up to you. Tone 23:46, 1 March 2025 (UTC)
- I've already done it, about 2-3 hours in. I don't feel it would be appropriate for me to do it a second time. Nfitz (talk) 01:10, 2 March 2025 (UTC)

Ways to improve Maximilian Ortner
Hello, Tone,
Thank you for creating Maximilian Ortner.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
The article, as it stands, does not include "at least one reference to a source providing significant coverage of the subject, excluding database sources." which is a must have according to WP:SPORTCRIT
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|SunloungerFrog}}

- Thanks very much Tone. I've marked the article as reviewed. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 08:29, 7 March 2025 (UTC)
