Question on NOR rule. Timetorockknowlege (talk) 00:16, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- You haven't asked a question.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:25, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
- I wanted to understand how the NOR means that you can't do simple calculations for election results to showcase county flips. That's not original research, its simple subtraction between two margins that any reader could do for themselves. I'm referencing many of Binksternet's recent contributions on so many US election related results, removing a large amount of useful information. - Your question does not require an administrator to address it. You can try the
{{Help-me}}
template or ask your question at the WP:Teahouse. This strikes me as a content dispute, which might be better resolved at the Talk page of one of the election articles where you were reverted by Binksternet.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:07, 14 November 2024 (UTC)- Sorry, I thought advice from an administrator would help to clarify what I might be misunderstanding in the way a regular user might not know. Also, I'm not concerned about my edits specifically as much as the over 100 or so edits from yesterday on a bunch of other election articles. Timetorockknowlege (talk) 01:22, 14 November 2024 (UTC)

Removal of content on article
Hi, you made this edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Department_of_Government_Efficiency&diff=prev&oldid=1276465757
With the edit summary: "Removed inappropriate and misleading comment"
But that was sourced, and now more thoroughly sourced: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Department_of_Government_Efficiency&diff=1276469062&oldid=1276466825
There are a wide array of WP:RS that make this verifiable, as seen here: https://www.google.com/search?q=Edward+Coristine+%2B%22tesla.sexy%22
Are you contesting what multiple sources are saying? What was misleading? -- Very Polite Person (talk) 00:55, 19 February 2025 (UTC)
- No sorry its that without the source I thought it was an act of vandalism thinking it said he was sexy and the owner of Tesla rather than what the source actually said. Apologies!

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to ', a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Additionally you may wish to read about the topic restrictions here. * Pppery * it has begun... 19:09, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
