Why were my changes reverted?

Hey, I corrected Ref 85 because the present link is for the NME review for DAMN and not GKMC. I changed it to the anonymous GKMC review on the NME website. I therefore added the NME review score to the score table. This change was also reverted. Suomwe (talk) 20:43, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Suomwe: The link doesn't need to be "fixed" if there's an archive for it, and it doesn't need to be added in the template either. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 21:34, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean because the link is to a review of an entirely different album. And what was the issue with me adding the NME review? Suomwe (talk) 10:02, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Suomwe: You clearly don't understand Wikipedia; if you pay attention to the source, there is an archive link to the original review, and the review don't need to be added in the template because there are already 10 reviews. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 16:59, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's almost as if we're all here simply trying to do our best and learn as we go along. Thanks for the lesson friend! Suomwe (talk) 00:27, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

did you delete the genre section on playing robots into heaven by james blake and if so why?

i dont know how DMs work on wikipedia im guessing this is it. I remember editing the albums genre liner notes quite a while ago and came back to see that the entire genre section of the album is missing? Musicscholar1999 (talk) 04:28, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Musicscholar1999: I remove those genres because they are not sourced; we add genres that are supported by sources, not by an opinion. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 08:00, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

????

At this point, you just overlook sources and anything I write, Post Malone is cited as a rapper and the music he makes is cited as rap multiple times, but you just ignore it because it fits your narrative. Totally looking forward to dealing with this in the future. 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 03:55, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Before you even respond, lemme ask this:
If Post Malone is not a rapper, then why do other pages, like his own call him a rapper? 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 03:58, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, I went through just about every one of his pages and on ALL of them, he's cited as a rapper, so why are you so hellbent on removing it every time I add it for consistency's sake? Please don't respond with "it's unsourced" because the sources are already there. 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 04:05, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@4TheLuvOfFax: I think you're right about this; the problem is multiple editors keep changing Post Malone's occupation from rapper to singer, like editors can't make up their minds here. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 04:11, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@4TheLuvOfFax: I reverted my edits. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 04:16, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I... wasn't expecting that.
Thank you. 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 04:17, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@4TheLuvOfFax: You're welcome. Personally, I listen to Post Malone's music a lot, and to me, he does more singing than rapping, so I do understand why people don't consider him as a rapper. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 04:22, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's melodic rap.
You can have rap songs with melody, which is what he does (at least in the earlier part of his career). 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 04:23, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@4TheLuvOfFax: Okay. Hey, I don't mean to go hard at you sometimes; I'm just following the guidelines. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 04:34, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Duly noted. 4TheLuvOfFax (talk) 04:50, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

RfC on MOS:ALBUM guidance on bonus and alternative tracks on album articles

I have started an RfC on the guidance of MOS:ALBUM regarding bonus tracks and alternative tracklistings on album articles: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject_Albums/Album article style advice#RfC on alternative tracklistings and bonus tracks on album_articles. As you were involved in a previous discussion that led to the current guidance at MOS:ALBUM, I thought you might be interested in this RfC.--3family6 (Talk to me|See what I have done) 13:45, 3 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
