Roadfly.com's heritage dates back to 1996.
Original heritage.
Before the existence of bimmer.org a group of BMW Z3 owners led by Alan Riley started a BMW Z3 message forum at QualityParts.com. Alan Riley moved the forum away from the QualityParts.com domain so that it wouldn't have a commercial reference. This is when he founded Bimmer.org in April 1998.
Scott Barlow of Quality Imports BMW in Florida was instrumental in the establishment of what was to become Roadfly.com.
From interview with Alan Riley 12/17/2001. A guy named "Dean" started an Acura Integra forum and had a sub-forum for the BMW Z3 in 1996. (We need to find out who Dean is. Nobody seems to know his last name.)
