Inuit Women

The Inuit are an indigenous group of people inhabiting the arctic regions of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, and Russia. Women in this culture had a rough time.

Both monogamous and polygamous marriages exist. Arranged etc.

Hunting and Fishing are the primary source of food for the Inuit people, and men are traditionally responsible for these duties. Women gathered other food and prepared the food the hunters brought back.

Inuit women have babies.

They have to make clothes and build shelters and other stuff.

Some things are seen as women's jobs, and some as men's. Women may have to do more than their fair share of the work.

Women don't have a lot of control over their own lives or influence in the community.

After contact with other cultures, the Inuit were introduced to new technologies and modernization, which changed their lives a lot.
