Related to an edit war on Suresh Prabhu
@Vanamonde93: I need a bit of help understanding how to go about this and what to do next. Please see the last few edits on this page - Suresh Prabhu: Revision history. I have tried reverting edits of this user User talk:Tensazangetsu4 @Tensazangetsu4: two times. I have also left two messages on his talk page. The user has again undone my revert despite me requesting them to take it to the talk page. (The content that is being added is way too much in one go, apart from needing extensive editing and sourcing.) DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 06:57, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- I've left them a warning, let's see if it has any effect. Vanamonde (talk) 17:17, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93: The user in question has done it again. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 13:09, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- I've sent it to AIV: I this is essentially an SPA editing about a topic I have worked on, so I should not be blocking without good reason. Vanamonde (talk) 16:05, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 16:33, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

Reads like a resume
This page is atrocious. Biography pages are not meant to be full of bullet points of accomplishments. The whole thing needs to be scrapped and rewritten. Editors were asleep at the wheel when massive amounts of content were added by people who were most likely on Suresh Prabhu's staff or paid to edit the page. The mention of the serious rail accidents resulting in hundreds of deaths under his watch are completely absent from the page. One reading the page would get the impression that Suresh Prabhu founded India and the Indian Railways. 2600:1700:D71:DF5F:4D36:899F:2967:A8C (talk) 05:57, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

New to wiki, how do I ensure this page is not vandalised?
I have just edited a page. I have put it on permanent watch. However, I want to make sure it is not vandalised. Is it possible to lock it, so that any changes are approved by a moderator? Truth4India (talk) 05:25, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- I guess you can raise it to WP:RFPP —Mint Keyphase (Did I mess up? What have I done?) 05:07, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
'Controversies' section
I have restored the section 'Controversies,' as it seems to to well-supported by sources as far as I could tell. If this is a mistake, please tell me how it should have been done. —Mint Keyphase (Did I mess up? What have I done?) 09:05, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
- @Satheravi Please discuss here about the removal of content. it is an important part of the WP:BRD cycle. —Mint Keyphase (Did I mess up? What have I done?) 11:32, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Mint Keyphase I apologize if i have troubled admins here. The information in the controversy is truly one sided. Below are four points mentioned that actually have an explanation:-
- 1.The Adarsh Housing Society scandal. explanation - Suresh Prabhu was a victim and not an accused. He
- bought a flat as per law, Suresh Prabhu borrowed and paid money legally from a financial institution and was never ever charged by any authority. This statement can bring unnecessary negative perceptions in the minds of users even though Suresh Prabhu was a just a victim
- 2.Bounced cheques issued by Western India Financial Services, where he served as Chairman. Explanation - This was passed by SC upholding similar orders, after all lower courts from Trial, sessions etc, High courts held that no trials should be done against Suresh Prabhu based on u/s 138 of negotiable instruments act. https://kjablr.kar.nic.in/assets/articles/Negotiable%20Instruments%20Act.pdf. Thus, Suresh Prabhu was discharged
- 3.The "cobbler scam" involving Saraswat Bank during his chairmanship. Explanation - Suresh Prabhu was not even asked for explanation by any authorities till date. The bank had published public notices, saying Suresh Prabhu was not even present in board meets when loans were sanctioned. The time when the loans were sanctioned was much after Suresh Prabhu left the organization.
- 4.A banking fraud case in Goa (later dropped on technical grounds). Explanation - This is the same point as point no 1 and also states that the charges were later dropped.
- With the above mentioned explanation kindly understand Mr Suresh Prabhu's state of false defamation. The person has done too much for the country and is a very highly respected person who should not be tarnished on false grounds. Hope you understand. Satheravi (talk) 08:28, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Satheravi Thanks for replying, although I think I'll have to find a third opinion, as I am not proficient in Indian legislation. I'll make a request for comment. —Mint Keyphase (Did I mess up? What have I done?) 08:46, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- Also clarifying that i am not an admin, and I'm sorry if I have caused any misunderstandings. —Mint Keyphase (Did I mess up? What have I done?) 09:02, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
RfC for the inclusion/exclusion of information within the 'Controversies' section
TLDR: Should the section be left there, or deleted?
Context is in conversation above. I am not very sure as to the verifiability, so I will hand the issue over to more knowledgeable individuals.
On one hand, the section has been the stable version for quite a long time, and had sources which are also long-standing
On the other hand, @User:Satheravi has raised new evidence which state otherwise, and i am not capable of discerning whether they "outweigh" the current sources.
Help will be appreciated, and I will not try to bludgeon this any further if a consensus is reached, whatever the result is. —Mint Keyphase (Did I mess up? What have I done?) 09:01, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Mint Keyphase i truly appreciate you giving your time to this. My point is that he is a political person. For the good work that an individual has done for the country, and literally no involvement in any of these controversies should not result in defaming and individual based on fake and false grounds. If someone from your team can truly evaluate his status and past news, today he is a normal man, still doing good for the people of the country with no baggage or issues even close to the above mentioned controversies. My appeal is genuine and heartfelt. Satheravi (talk) 07:10, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
