Talk:Delta Air Lines

November 2024 stowaway case

I removed the mention of the 2024 Delta Air Lines stowaway case from Delta Air Lines#Controversies and passenger incidents. The article is being discussed at WP:Articles for deletion/2024 Delta Air Lines stowaway case.

  1. The most relevant page I found is WP:WikiProject Aviation/Aircraft accidents and incidents (advice page/essay, shortcut WP:AIRCRASH). Although it is aimed at aircraft accidents, this point seems pertinent: The accident or incident resulted in changes to procedures, regulations or processes affecting airports, airlines or the aircraft industry. According to this April 16 article, "Our review affirms that Delta's security infrastructure, as part of our Safety Management System framework, is sound and that deviation from standard procedures is the root cause of this event," a Delta spokesperson told ABC News. The TSA made undisclosed changes: "As a result of our review, additional security measures are now in place," [TSA spokesperson] Farbstein said. I speculate that they were minor. Similar considerations apply to potential mentions at List of accidents and incidents at John F. Kennedy International Airport and Charles de Gaulle Airport#Accidents and incidents.
  2. The other item in the section is 2024 Delta Air Lines disruption, which is obviously more significant.

I explain a similar removal at Talk:Stowaway#November 2024 airline in-cabin case. Flatscan (talk) 04:33, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

2022 Southwest Airlines Scheduling Crisis Mention

In the “Controversies and passenger incidents” section, there is a part that reads “The incident closely resembled the 2022 Southwest Airlines scheduling crisis, when a factor outside of the airline's control triggered a resulting mass cancellation event.” Nowhere in the source is it mentioned that the 2022 Southwest crisis was caused by a factor outside of the airline’s control. I believe this was worded incorrectly and should be changed to remove the “factor outside of the airline’s control” part. SurrealPip (talk) 12:02, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Delta focus city in Orlando (MCO)

Delta is now using MCO as its main focus city with the two most flown delta airports are MCO AND ATL and the most flown flight is MCO - ATL. As well as delta using it to operate both Delta Connection flights, their newest aircraft’s, and now an official SkyTeam global airport. Its Lido (talk) 22:43, 18 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to have the focus city template inserted next to Austin–Bergstrom International Airport in the Destinations list, as per several sources, and as mentioned in the infobox, it is a focus city for the airline.

At the current moment, the Destinations list is this way in regards to Austin:

Country or Territory City Airport Notes Refs
United States Austin Austin–Bergstrom International Airport

However, I would like to have it changed to this when listing Austin:

Country or Territory City Airport Notes Refs
United States Austin Austin–Bergstrom International Airport Focus city

Inconsistency with Huff-Daland

Huff-Daland claims a different history of that company than we claim here. Dingolover6969 (talk) 19:52, 25 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to mention that in the "Hubs" section of the wiki, this is not a complete list of the hubs. According to https://news.delta.com/corporate-stats-and-facts, there are international hubs not mentioned. Add these hubs: Bogota, Lima, London Heathrow, Mexico City, Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, Santiago (Chile), Sao Paulo, Seoul-Incheon, Tokyo (Haneda). All of these cities are hubs outside of the United States, and they still qualify as hubs, so I believe you should add them in the list. ~2025-37120-97 (talk) 02:38, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
