I put the wikify tag there because there are very few links to other articles. If I'm correct, WP articles should have some links to corresponding articles. That's why. (Oh, by the way, the article looks like a C-class to me.) Agent 78787talk contribs15:29, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think the issues that you highlighted regarding this article may be related to the article's nature. This article is meant to be a subsidiary page of the not-yet-created Buyid-Hamdanid Wars. The parent article would be responsible for providing greater context and background of the events that it envelops (along with more external links to related articles) and would cover a time span of approximately forty years, while this article is only concerned with the war of 946, along with its immediate causes and aftermath. This article merely happened to be the first of the series that was created; the series should in total have about 7-9 articles by the time it's completed. Once the parent article is created, you should hopefully see the level of connectivity that is not (and, IMO, should not) be found here. If I had to draw a parallel to another series, I would say it would be similar to the article Siege of Tyana, which, while it lacks context by itself, makes a lot more sense when read in conjunction with its parent article, Byzantine-Arab Wars.
If there are concrete improvements that need to be made to this article, I would appreciate feedback on them so I can correct them. My goal is to have the wikify tag removed, if possible. I look forward to your response. Thanks, Ro4444 (talk) 16:11, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
