What's surprising is that there is no article on the plant itself, it being a MAJOR Cuban power plant... 140.211.8.7 (talk) 21:46, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Interestingly, a steam turbine at the failing Guiteras plant was taken 20 years ago from the incomplete joint Soviet-Cuban Juragua Nuclear Power Plant :
In 2004, the main turbine at the Juragua plant was removed to replace a damaged turbine at Guiteras thermoelectric plant.
