Phuong Trach Tower is a proposed 600-meter skyscraper in Hanoi, Vietnam.[1] Upon completion, it is expected to become the tallest building in the country. The tower will rise 108 stories and serve as the centerpiece of a $4.2 billion smart city development in the Dong Anh District.[2][3] The project is a joint venture between Vietnam's BRG Group and Japan's Sumitomo Corporation.[4]
Construction
Construction of the Tower began on November 10, 2023, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.[5] The skyscraper is situated along the Nhat Tan-Noi Bai Highway, connecting Noi Bai International Airport to central Hanoi.[6] It is part of the 272-hectare BRG Smart City project in Dong Anh District, which is being developed in five phases and is expected to be fully completed by 2028.[7] The estimated infrastructure and land cost is around VND33 trillion, approximately $1.55 billion.[8]
