English: Color composite of Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein (C/2014 UN271) imaged on 28 March 2022, by the Hubble Space Telescope's WFC3 camera in three filters, each tinted with a single color corresponding to their wavelength. Wavelengths used are: F475X = 475 nm (blue), F606W = 606 nm (green), and F814W = 814 nm (red). The integration time (sum of exposure times) of this 8-frame composite stack is 2,608 seconds (43.5 minutes). The PI of these observations is Bryce Bolin.
Bernardinelli-Bernstein is shown with an extended condensed coma due to an outburst that occurred during March 2022. The comet's extraordinarily large nucleus is clearly visible as a point source in the center of the coma.
