CM Velorum (abbreviated to CM Vel) is a red supergiant located in the constellation of Vela. It is a slow irregular variable with an apparent magnitude that varies from 7.00 to 8.35.[2]

Physical properties

CM Velorum may be one of the largest known stars, with size estimates ranging from 1,048[4] to 1416 solar radii.[1]
