  • Hinweise zur direkten Straßenverbindung Wolkshausen - Giebelstadt bis 1944, und später über die B 19 ab 1956: Die am unteren Rand des Kartenausschnittes vom Nutzer eingezeichnete rote Linie, abgehend von der E70 (B 19) bezeichnet die 1956 von einer Pioniereinheit der US Army ausgebaute Verbindungsstraße zum Reststück der ehemaligen Wolkshäuser Straße. Diese verlief von Südosten her direkt von Wolkshausen nach Giebelstadt, war seither jedoch aufgrund der Startbahnverlängerung im Jahr 1944 unterbrochen. -
  • Vermutlich war die direkte Ortsverbindung zw. Wolkshausen und Giebelstadt im Sprachgebrauch der Bevölkerung als Wolkshäuser Straße, Wolkshäuser Weg und Giebelstadter Straße bekannt, jedoch ohne als gemeindlicher, amtlicher Straßenname ausgewiesen zu sein. Nur in Wolkshausen ist später für ein kurzes Reststück der ehemligen Direktverbindung "Giebelstadter Straße" amtlich festgesetzt worden, Siehe Webkarte der Bayer.
