Nunatami is an abandoned settlement in Avaannata, Greenland.
Geography
The settlement was located on Gonioceras Bay in Washington Land, located about 5.100km from Cape Webster and 18.150km from Cape Jackson.
History
The settlement was inhabited around 1917 and 1920 by two Inuit families for some years. It was abandoned around 1922.[1]
On 4 August 1999, Claus Andreasen and Hans Lange investigated the site. There were two large tents where the families lived, they later moved south and abandoned the place. The site contains few material remains of human activity.[1]
