Randolph "Andoy" Lastrilla Ranay is a Filipino director and theater practitioner.[ 1] He has directed several television series for ABS-CBN , including The Broken Marriage Vow (2022), Dirty Linen (2023), and Senior High (2023-2024).[ 2] [ 3] He has also directed and appeared in multiple stage productions.[ 4] [ 5]
Early life and education
Randolph Lastrilla Ranay is from Ilocos Norte .[ 5] He studied Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman ,[ 1] and was associated with the university's theater group, Dulaang UP.[ 6]
Controversy
During the production of the series First Time in 2010, Ranay reportedly used offensive language toward actor Jake Vargas .[ 7] GMA Network later issued a statement, saying that Ranay had apologized for his actions.[ 8]
