I used to frequently edit pages on anime, manga, and visual novels before I improved my understanding of common standards and practices surrounding sources and their usage, and came into the realization that almost all of the remotely admissible sources for these topics in the English language are terrible, and shouldn't be given much weight. (This is why almost every page on any anime/manga series has a nonexistent or nearly empty "Reception" section; the outlets that review anime are all of questionable reliability and mostly have deeply shallow opinions. No one who likes Gushing Over Magical Girls enough to edit its Wikipedia page wants to write down what most English-language anime reviewers thought of it, for instance.) As such I mostly stopped editing those pages regularly. Now I just make whatever edits I see as useful on whatever pages interest me. If I ever more successfully learn the Japanese language, I might try to improve the niche JP media pages again, hopefully with a wider variety of sources on hand.
