Alenis Vargas (born 4 December 2003) is a Honduran footballer who plays as a striker for Sporting KC.
Early life
Vargas grew up in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.[1] He joined the youth academy of Honduran side Olimpia at the age of 17.[2]
Club career

Vargas started his career with Honduran side Fútbol Consultants.
Sporting Kansas City
In 2023, he signed for American side Sporting KC.[3] On 2 February 2024, he debuted for the club during a 1–1 draw with Houston Dynamo.
On 8 June 2024, Vargas scored the game-winning goal in the 85th minute during a 2-1 victory over Seattle Sounders FC.[4]
International career
Vargas was first called up to the Honduras national football team for 2024 Copa América qualifying play-offs.[5]
Style of play
Vargas mainly operates as a striker. He is known for his strength.[6]
