Speaking about identity, you were probably thinking "Cossacks" as a people. In fact, they were self-styled Cossack militia in unforms and stuff, so yes, their "identity" was quite notorious. I fixed the article to clarify. --Altenmann>talk19:42, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it looks like everyone was busy or didnt care, but the article still required a good deal of beating. For staters, I trimmed the lede from huge retelling of the article, so that now it looks like a lede. --Altenmann>talk19:21, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

On the Membership section, please correct misspellings in the first sentence of the third paragraph from "Samutsevich joined Voina 1n 2008, at the same time with Ailyokhina." and in the second sentence in the fifth paragraph from "Ailyokhinasai created her own show, Pussy Riot: Riot Days, which recounts her life as a Russian activist, and tours various fringe festivals." to "Alyokhina"2A02:2F04:B205:BD00:6D6E:4D04:24E7:1909 (talk) 07:22, 26 April 2025 (UTC) 2A02:2F04:B205:BD00:6D6E:4D04:24E7:1909 (talk) 07:22, 26 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Which should be used in this article? The lead currently says the group was Founded in the fall of 2011 (American English; British would be "autumn") but also talks about Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (British English; American would be "Savior"). No strong preference either way, just so long as we are consistent. (I'm aware many other varieties exist, but simplifying for the sake of this talk page). Being designated as an extremist organization is qualitatively different from general repression or harsh treatment, as it constitutes a formal legal classification with concrete consequences such as criminal liability for association, censorship, and bans and, given that Pussy Riot originated in Russia and is closely associated with political protest against the Russian state, this official designation is directly relevant to understanding what legal status the group represents today. Well, someone has re-added it to the lead without discussing it here, despite the ongoing discussion and ignoring all policy, so let's forget about it. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:56, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
