The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is a series of Android-based tablet computers developed and marketed by Samsung Electronics. Galaxy Tab S6 was announced on July 31, 2019, Galaxy Tab S6 5G was announced on January 29, 2020, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was announced on April 2, 2020, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 was announced on May 14, 2022,[7][8] and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024 was announced on March 26, 2024.[9]
The Tab S6, S6 5G and S6 Lite first received 3 OS upgrades, as announced on August 5, 2020.[10] The Tab S6 Lite 2022 and 2024 editions were extended to 4 OS upgrades as the Galaxy S22 and later devices did.[11]
Design
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is built with an aluminum body and glass for the screen. It has stereo loudspeakers with AKG tuning. The S6 comes in Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue and Rose Blush, with the 5G model only available in Mountain Gray, and the S6 Lite series comes in Chiffon Pink, Angora Blue and Oxford Gray. A USB-C port is used for charging and connecting other accessories.[12][13]

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon system-on-chip, with 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB of expandable UFS 3.0 internal storage.[6][14][13]
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 family have a 7040 mAh battery, and is capable of fast charging at up to 15 W.[6][15][13]
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 features a 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display. The display has a 16:10 aspect ratio.[6][12][13]
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 includes dual rear-facing cameras. The wide 26 mm f/2.0 lens 13-megapixel sensor, while the ultrawide f/2.2 lens has a 12-megapixel sensor; the front-facing camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor. It is capable of recording 4K video at 30 fps.[6][15][13]
All models of the tablet are compatible with the S Pen, which is included in the box.
Software
The Galaxy Tab S6 and S6 5G were shipped with Android Pie (9.0) out-of-the-box with One UI 1.5.[16] On March 2022, the Galaxy Tab S6 and S6 5G received its final major upgrade, Android 12L with One UI 4.1.1.[1] A year later, its software support have been dropped.[17]
Lite version
The first version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was first announced on April 2, 2020, with the 2022 and 2024 refreshed variants first announced on May 14, 2022[18][19] and March 26, 2024,[20] respectively. The Tab S6 Lite first received 3 OS upgrades, as announced on August 5, 2020. The Tab S6 Lite 2022 and 2024 editions were extended to 4 OS upgrades as the Galaxy S22 and later devices did.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite uses a 7040 mAh battery and supports fast charging up to 15 W. All versions of the S6 Lite have a 10.3-inch 2000 × 1200 TFT LCD display with a 5:3 aspect ratio, which distinguishes them from the standard Galaxy Tab S6 that uses a Super AMOLED panel.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite family has a single wide 28mm f/1.9 lens 8-megapixel sensor; the front-facing camera uses a 32mm f/2.0 lens 5-megapixel sensor. It is capable of recording FHD video at 30 fps. The S Pen is included in the box and works with every model in the S6 Lite line.
The 2020 and 2024 Tab S6 Lite models have support for 3 major OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates, while the 2022 version only had support for 2 major OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates.[21] Since there were 3 Lite models in this series, different OS and One UI versions have been pre-installed. The 2020 and 2022 variants are unsupported as of July 2025.[21] All versions of the S6 Lite include Samsung DeX.

The other tablet is the original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (SM-P610 and SM-P615), which debuted in 2020... Likewise, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022), which was a refresh of the original 2020 model, bearing model numbers SM-P613 and SM-619, has disappeared from the official list of supported devices.
