English: Up 'Flying Scotsman' approaching Peterborough North. View NW, towards Grantham, Doncaster and the North; ex-Great Northern ECML. The express,headed by A4 Pacific No. 60034 'Lord Faringdon', is passing Westwood Junction Box, beyond which is Wisbech Junction (LMS) Box controlling the ex-Midland lines to Manton, Leicester etc. seen on the far left. Over on the right are the great New England Yards (West and East) and beyond in the distance can be seen the large water-tower and coaling plant of New England Locomotive Depot. |
