English: Original caption: Lighthouse on Frenchman's island - one of three lighthouses to mark the sailing courses across Oneida lake. Each lighthouse is about 85 feet high. Those at Sylvan Beach and Frenchman's island display occulting White lights of 1,500 candle power; that at Brewerton carries a fixed red light of 1,000 candle power. (From Annual Report of the State Engineer and Surveyor for the Fiscal Year Ended June 30 1917, following p. 222. Cropped and corrected for color by me.
