MatriceJacobine was blocked due to edit warring, personal attacks, and refusal to listen in relation to edits on the article Zizians (previously Killing of David Maland). See the ANI discussion here. One of the major issues is MatriceJacobine including sections on the beliefs of the Zizians and citing WP:UGC.

Soon after MatriceJacobine's ban, a number of IP accounts became active on the talk page for Zizians.

• One starts a discussion about the beliefs of the Zizians being deemphasized and links to several revisions made by MatriceJacobine to suggest using them as a starting point.[1]
• Another IP echoes the previous IP's suggestions and also argues in favor of those revisions, and then gives a summary of MatriceJacobine's ban, apparently concluding that their ban was unwarranted,[2] essentially repeating MatriceJacobine's unban request. [3]
• This IP also warns the previous IP of Polygnotus accusing them of being a sock [4] and is overall combative with Polygnotus,[5] who was a prominent contributor to MatriceJacobine's ANI discussion. The same is also true of the previous IP.[6] For the record, some of the combativeness may stem from Polygnotus implying these accounts are socks, but the previous diff predates that.
• A third IP creates a draft for the Zizians article, using a MatriceJacobine revision as a reference.[7] This user contends that the main criticism of this revision was "close paraphrasing" of a source (the Wired article).[8] This is a very specific argument and one that MatriceJacobine latched onto in the discussion on their unban request.[9]
• This user also criticizes Eigenbra for past edits from a week before they were editing the Zizians page.[10] Eigenbra also had disagreements with MatriceJacobine.[11]

In short, a number of IPs start editing on a page after MatriceJacobine is blocked due to disagreements with other editors and promote MatriceJacobine's revisions and are repeatedly combative with users who had had disagreements MatriceJacobine. To be fair, this could also be WP:Canvassing, as this article may be of interest to some online communities. Truthnope (talk) 10:12, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
