- Propose merging Category:Award-winning video games to Category:Video game award winners
- Nominator's rationale: Personally I feel like that the Award-winning video games category should be merged with Video game award winners because they basically describe the same thing and it feels unnecessary to have two separate categories as a result. Nice Stories (talk) 23:57, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Keep, one category is for articles about video games, the other is for biographies. By all means leave a "see also" note on both pages. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:27, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Keep - the first is for games (any people should be removed from it), the 2nd for people (any games should be removed from it). Oculi (talk) 16:46, 11 April 2022 (UTC)

- Propose deleting Category:Tunisian Roman Catholic archbishops ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Nominator's rationale: There are no Tunisian nationals who are RC archbishops. Of the two past archbishops, one was Italian and the other Jordanian. Laurel Lodged (talk) 19:49, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Delete as empty -- Probably intended for Category:Roman Catholic archbishops in Tunisia, which is unnecessary because its only content would be Category:Roman Catholic archbishops of Tunis, though there were medieval archbishops of Carthage, before Muslim conquest. - Propose deleting Category:Members of the American Physical Society ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Nominator's rationale: Unlike Category:Fellows of the American Physical Society, this one doesn't seem to be a defining characteristic. Kj cheetham (talk) 17:55, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Delete, mere membership is hardly ever defining. Marcocapelle (talk) 05:29, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Delete -- Mere membership of a learned society is not defining. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:31, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Delete A more novel and interesting category would be American physicists who AREN'T members of APS, since membership is basically de rigeur. PianoDan (talk) 19:00, 10 April 2022 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 07:57, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: merge, the Franks were the founders of the Merovingian Kingdom and the Carolingian Empire but in the 11th century the term "Franks" in this meaning has become obsolete. The term was still used for people from the Duchy of Franconia but that is clearly not what this category is intended for. The category mainly contains bishops in the Low Lands, which was part of the Holy Roman Empire in this period. Marcocapelle (talk) 12:39, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

- Support -- However the parent is People of Carolingian Empire, so that more tidying is needed. Peterkingiron (talk) 15:36, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- The proposal is to not merge to this other parent anyway, so this is not a problem. Marcocapelle (talk) 18:35, 10 April 2022 (UTC)

Category:Wikipedia requested edits
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: split. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 10:08, 14 May 2022 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: The current name suggests that this cat would contain every requested edit on the project, despite it not containing any other edit requests like the semi-protected, fully-protected, etc. ones. This category only consists of COI and partial-block edit requests. Be more specific about what this category is about. The proposed names are in line with other requested edit cats like Category:Wikipedia semi-protected edit requests. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • C • L) 05:35, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Also to disambiguate it from Category:Wikipedia edit requests. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • C • L) 19:59, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- Question, would it make sense to split the category (1 template = 1 category)? Marcocapelle (talk) 15:32, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Agreed, it would make sense to Split since the skills required for answering the two kinds of requests have basically no overlap. If they are not split, rename per nom. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:22, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Split per others. We already divide the protected requests from this category Happy Editing--IAmChaos 19:37, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- As nominator, I would now prefer it to be split into Category:Wikipedia conflict of interest edit requests & Category:Wikipedia partial-block edit requests (or partially-blocked?), with rename being the second preference, if not split. —CX Zoom[he/him] (let's talk • C • L) 07:32, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- See also User talk:AnomieBOT/Archive 13#Category this bot uses listed at CfD * Pppery * it has begun... 17:24, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- Split: Partial block edit requests are not the same as COI requests. While I don't have a strong opinion, "partially-blocked" sounds better to me. If it is not split, non's rename will clarify things. DarthFlappy 16:09, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- Split per above. NW1223<Howl at me•My hunts> 21:33, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
