This article is about the Latin letter. For the sound it typically represents, see velar nasal.


The eng is a letter: Ŋ (capital), ŋ (small). The capital may have one of two distinct forms. It is used in a number of languages such as Sámi and many Aboriginal languages and it has gained much popularity among people that make conlangs.

The small one is used in the International Phonetic Alphabet as velar nasal consonant symbol. Its X-SAMPA equivalent is N.
