Summary

Description Kaman K-16B - This aircraft was one of the first "tilt wing" VTOL experiments. Each propeller blade has provisions for variable camber to allow it to function like a helicopter rotor when the wing is in the vertical position. This approach was one of many to address the VTOL/STOL requirements, but was not altogether successful.
