Orphaned PNG graph. Kelly hi! 01:32, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep -- Why delete it? Is it in your way? Does it consume too many bytes? I mean, what's the point?
- I created this file as part of a set illustrating the classic Seven Bridges of Königsberg. The other members of the set are currently included in the article. In times past, so was this illustration; perhaps it will again, in future, replace the inferior one that is now there. If you delete it now, it's gone; you will have the devil of a time getting it back, although I'm sure you can always make something better yourself. If you leave it, it does no harm.
- I will tell you what the point of this image is; it is the classic representation of the problem. Obviously, the whole point of graph theory is that a graph can be distorted in almost any way and retain its meaning. But it is traditional to render this particular problem in this particular way, with the three nodes on the left, the one node on the right, and -- as in all graphs -- with straight or at least symmetrically bent edges. Graph edges generally are not rendered with gratuitous curves.
- Now you may well think none of this matters. If so, then I suggest you leave this thing alone. When someone comes along who thinks it does matter, they'll be happy you did. — Xiong熊talk* 11:37, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep. "Show doesn't really need any more screencaps besides the title card." is a deletionist perspective, not a Wikipedia guideline, and certainly not a rationale for this image's deletion. This is the only image depicting gameplay on the article on which it is found, and is not "excessive fair use" by any stretch of the imagination. It is necessary for visual identification/explanation of the game. Text cannot completely describe how the game is played. Robert K S (talk) 00:04, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned chem PNG image. Kelly hi! 18:49, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep in WikiCommons, at least until equivalent *.svg files are created, which may not be for a long time. I have already moved this file over to WikiCommons. The subject file, File:Bisphenolate A plus Phosgene.PNG, shows an aspect of a detailed polymerization mechanism, while other images available are just overall reaction summaries, which do not show the detailed mechanism. The User, User:Smokefoot, who removed this image from the article Polycarbonate, removed this detailed mechanism information from the article unnecessarily. I would like to put that information and the image back into the Polycarbonate article someday. The article is by no means too long - only 20 kB. The image was uploaded at a time when WikiCommons use was not widespread and this image was never moved to WikiCommons, therefore other Wikimedia were not aware of its presence and had no chance to use it. This image would also be useful in the Polymerization, Reaction mechanism, and Chain reaction articles. In WikiCommons, this image is available for many language Wikipedias and other Wikimedia sites.
