I can't see the logic in removing the venue categories, given that WP:OCVENUE states that "categories that indicate how a specific facility is regularly used in a specific and notable way" can be appropriate. • Comment After this nomination closes, it might be worth having a conversation about the 2nd paragraph of the WP:OCVENUE editing guideline. I really see the risk of category clutter coming from something like adding every venue to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour. • Oppose Practically, these diffuse what would otherwise be unwieldly larger city/metro categories and ease navigation and don't add to the number of categories under an article. From an editing guideline perspective, WP:OCVENUE is discouraging unwieldly large venue categories which is accomplished by breaking these down by individual sport, boxing in this case. With MSG and the Boardwalk Hall in particular, these are known as the pre-eminent boxing venues and the location is clearly defining. - RevelationDirect (talk) 12:30, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
