Construction

Siddhartha Cricket Stadium, built in 1997 and covering 3 bighas of land, has undergone several renovations to enhance its facilities, making it one of the prominent cricket venues in Nepal. Located in the Lumbini Province, it serves as a hub for regional cricket events. The stadium currently seats 2,500 spectators, but ongoing expansion plans aim to increase its capacity to 20,000, positioning it as a major venue for larger-scale cricket events. These developments reflect the growing interest and investment in sports infrastructure in Nepal.

Usage and Events

The stadium is primarily used for domestic cricket tournaments, including the Prime Minister's Cup[1] and the National T20 Championship. It has hosted various matches featuring regional teams such as Lumbini Province and the Bhairahawa Gladiators. The Bhairahawa Gladiators, a professional cricket team based in Bhairahawa, have utilized the stadium as their home ground.[2]
