Hydrangea xanthoneura is a species of flowering plant in the family Hydrangeaceae, native to China.[1]

Description

The native range of H. xanthoneura is S. Central China to Myanmar. Also known as the woolly-leaved hydrangea, its uniquely textured leaves are covered in fine, silvery hairs. It is native to parts of China and Taiwan and is often used in traditional Chinese medicine.[2] Shrubs or small trees reach a height of 1-7 m. Flowers are white to greenish; seeds brown, winged at both ends. Flowers June-July, fruits September-October.[3]
