Gerard Martín Langreo (born 26 February 2002) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a left-back for Barcelona Atlètic.[1]
Early life
Born in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona, Catalonia, Martín moved with his family to Sant Andreu de la Barca at the age of five.[2]
Career
In 2023, Martín signed for Spanish side Barcelona Atlètic, where he was described as "one of the key defensive players".[3] On 17 August 2024, he made his La Liga debut with Barcelona, replacing Alejandro Balde in a 2–1 away win over Valencia.[4]
On 2 March, 2025, Martín scored his first professional goal in a La Liga match against Real Sociedad at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys to open the score in the 25th minute from a cross by Dani Olmo.
Style of play
Martín mainly operates as a defender and has been described as "very reliable in marking and in the aerial game".[5]
