The Caltanissetta Transmitter Station (Italian: Trasmettitore di Caltanissetta or Antenna Rai di Caltanissetta)[3] is a plant, now idle, for broadcast on longwave, mediumwave and shortwave; tipe guyed mast. The transmitter is insulated against ground.[3]

Its main element is an omnidirectional antenna 286 meters high, which holds the record for the tallest structure in Italy; it stands on a hill 689m above sea level; The top antenna is placed at above sea level.[2]
